So he essentially told CJ Baxter he was washed after his injury and it was best to look elsewhere.
Thankfully for CJ who is a badass human he landed in Kentucky where he is having a great season. So much so he has outrushed both of Sark's portal backs combined.
The problem isn't Ewers, Manning, Baxter, Wisner, Smothers, or Brown it is their current or former dipshit head coach, offensive coordinator, and play caller hybrid.
Get this dipshit out of Austin ASAP he ruins talent even faster than the Mack Brown/Greg Davis duo

His main issue was promising Manning the world. Any respectable coach would tell you he had major red flags in HS.

That doesn't have shite to do with him taking Quinn Ewers who was ranked #1 overall and turning him into a 7th round draft pick or that he has made Texas a running back graveyard.

Ewers was a serviceable QB. He didn't make mistakes and gave them a chance to win. Manning is a liability and SS refuses to pull him.

someone on Surly said Texas is "leading" the SEC in 3-and-outs. I don't know if it's true but it certainly feels like it. absolutely zero excuse for that much talent to be that bad. dude needs to look in the mirror, be a head coach, and fire himself as OC

A sign of a top tier HC is one who has a major problem one season and then is able to totally overhaul and fix it in spring and fall camp so the following season it goes from weakness to strength or at the very least serviceable.
Some examples of this.
-In Becks final season as our QB we were dead last in the SEC in rushing yards per game. Ever since then last year and so far this season we are one of the best rushing teams in the country.
-Last year we were dead last in the SEC in sacks with only 24 sacks across 14 games (regular season plus the SEC championship and playoff game) and have 17 sacks in 6 games so far this season with the 9th best pressure rate in the country and the 17th bet havoc rate.
- Alabama was ranked 109th in rushing ypg last season. They have improved from 103 rushing ypg last season to 186.4 ypg this season.
Sark doesnt seem to be able to implement these types of drastic turn arounds
