How has he not been at least asked to step aside?

Because he's doing what the schools want.

They measure success in terms of money and have no real concept on what makes college football great.

Don't you have another buyout to pay?

I still can’t understand how it never occurred to anyone that the conference championship games could have been saved, and even enhanced, by incorporating them into the college football playoffs. I mean, look at the NFL, what games decide who plays in the Super Bowl? It’s the conference championship games of the NFC and AFC respectively.
I'm sure that did occur to them..

Then someone at the meeting spoke up to remind them the Domers would be upset at such a thing. They can't have upset Leprechauns now can they?

You sure are sensitive about Sankey.

ETA: Sankey has cost the conference members more money than a buyout.

The underlying issues with CFB are downstream of federal court rulings not due directly to anything Sankey did.

That’s not to say Sankey hasn’t been a poor commissioner thus far, I’m just saying NIL/eligibility stuff isn’t on him.

And he was right to push back on LSU and should’ve done so against Ole Miss, I’m just not in support of how he went about it.

Is the Buyout Bengals, Lawsuit State University, or both?

SEC added two massive brands in Texas and OU and didn't get a single penny added to the TV deal.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone try and change the subject to protect a failed commissioner before.

The amount of money Sankey has cost the conference is staggering.

Yeah this is self ownage that should require a firing. The LSU thing alone whould have been a big indicator he's lost it. Now the SEC got fricked and it's all on the SEC leadership for allowing him to stay around once it was obvious he was losing it.

Maybe none of that can be put on Sankey, but there is no denying he could have blocked the 24 team playoff and didn't do it.

The fans run this shite

All we gotta do is wait for the 4 hour Dr Pepper commercial between 1st and 2nd downs to let them know how we run this shite. Probably best to wait until a playoff game between #1 and East Central Toward The Middle Arkansas State in prime time to do it. We don’t run shite. We are the least of their concerns.

I’d argue the time to lose it on him was when he agreed to go to 9 wins without any real deal to account for SOS or a market deal to increase revenues in return.

This mitigates that mistake.

Glad the rest of you in the SEC are finally catching on to what LSU fans have been saying for a while. Sankey has got to go.
