First and foremost SEC needs another round of expansion. Secondly, it would be boring as hell if we left the NCAA and played an SEC only schedule. Hate to admit it, but the BIG 10 has been proactive and are kicking our arse in Nattys in NIL era. 24 team playoff would be fun as hell. Regular season is still fun as hell. 12 team playoff teams are still getting screwed. Wtf is he doing right now. Hes like the Cleveland Cavaliers coach right now, who believes he won the eastern conference finals series against the Knicks analytically and is leading the Cavs into the NBA Finals.

You guys need to worry less about SEC football and more about going to church, taking care of your families, taking care of your health, and saving for retirement.

Look into Holy Orthodoxy, be as present with your wife and kids as you can be when you get to spend time with them. A good diet and regular cardio are helpful. Find a good finance guy that you trust. Buy real estate in a good location with good local schools.

I believe what he and Kirby were saying is that if the SEC could find a way to make the numbers work where they are making the same as they make in the current structure, they'd love to do their own thing.
If successful, it would be the stepping stone to the BIG10 doing the same thing and then combining with the SEC with their own college football premier league separate from the NCAA and making their own rules, regulations, contracts, punishments, and playoffs. Something like the NFL's NFC and AFC. But it would be Big10 and SEC.
The SEC splitting off on its own wouldn't be the end goal, it would be one step in a process to the real end goal.

Sankey is one of the most respected people in CFB. If you have ever heard an interview with him, he is very measured in what he says. Whether aholes like you know it but he has the best interest of the SEC at heart and does not make knee jerk reactions
