Flood the zone with a 24 team playoff, get 8+ SEC teams in every year.

Sankey is nothing more than a politician acting like a commissioner. As far as I'm concerned, Sankey can eat a large bag of dicks. Sankey is spineless."

The SEC will have 20 teams before he does that.

At first I thought I'll take that tradeoff to make the Big10 play tougher games, but they'll schedule Virginia, Washington St., and NC State and shite like that, not Bama/LSU/UGA.

I guess we could do the same, though.

Can other conferences require Notre Dame to play at least 2 games against teams from each P4 conference each year on a rotation?

I'm all for it. If we're going to have these massive conferences and tougher schedules, then expand the playoffs to 24 teams and let them sort it out on the field. I'd much rather see an 8-4 SEC team get a shot than reward some 11-1 team that hasn't played anybody worth a damn.

Speak for yourself. He's already fricked LSU. Now you get to see the fruits of all his labor frick the rest of the conference.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: He will eventually be fired. It's just a matter of time.

I would be for an 11 game schedule, but leave it at 9 games for conference play. Getting to play the rivalries is more important than anything else to me. I know many on here focus on tv ratings and championships, but that is secondary to me. I think being competitive is important, but playing the rivalry games is the best part about college athletics.

I said this last year, that the SEC should go to 4 pods and a 7 game conference schedule.

The conference office is filled with morons.

Nah, 12 is great. Even if we play Campbell or some other directional school out of the ether, I prefer that to not having a game on a given saturday.

We should have a conference where no one plays anyone else!

Sankey can't win me back.

Sankey is a person who never played or coached within a top tier athletic program.

He has no clue about the wear and tear involved and the attrition factor.

Saban is right about putting the best interests of the players before money.

A 16 team playoff is realistic. The 24 team playoffs are just about money for teams with mid-tier ceilings.

The SEC should go back to an 8 game conference schedule. Period !!

ESPN should not be dictating to the SEC about the best setup.

All of the coaches know that adding an extra elimination week is creating nothing more than a circular firing squad that will further make the SEC uncompetitive going into the playoff games.

Heck what about a rule that says "you must play X number of P5 opponents in a given year to qualify for the playoffs."

You can still protect G5 leagues & make it a low number, while also justifying a higher threshold for "independents" to make up for the lack of conference opponents.

This would at least give SOS some teeth again since it seems like the ployoff committee could care less
