So LSU has a great defense and shitty offense? Some things never change...but we still beat auburn with a shrimpboat captain.

They also have very good special teams (#20 I think), and are efficient late in games.

That's a very small change from past years but you guys lost a whole lot of 4th qtr games where it was all you needed.

If you created a model and it told you that Ole Miss had the #1 offense after completing 7 passes last week, then either Alabama needs to be the #1 on defense (2-10 should be left blank) or you need to throw that model in the trash and start from scratch.

I'm leaning towards the latter.

In all likelihood because they're worse performance against Alabama didn't hurt them nearly as much as we'd think because Alabama's defense is so good. It's just a case of only having 3 weeks of data really (that's my guess).

My guess is it'll fall a bit down to the 10-20 range the next few weeks, unless of course they keep going for 800 yards a game against non elite defenses. Then it might stay in the Top 10. It will be interesting to see how they perform against LSU in a couple weeks.

But Ole Miss’ offensive production in games 1 and 2 were so off the charts, that being completely shut down in game 3 doesn’t necessarily have a major impact on it yet. You also have to realize these models will bear better fruit as more data is available. We are only three games in.

Well, it isn't points scored and allowed rankings while ignoring who games are against and how those points were scored and possibly why, so.
