I am hearing a lot of scuttlebutt that the Giants could be going after Saban in a similar way the Raiders went after Gruden. It wouldn’t be 10 years probably, but what ever the length offered would be pretty substantial maybe with a stake in the team….

If Saban turned down such an offer then he will never leave Bama....I personally think he stays put and goes for national Title #7.

Would Saban take the job if offered “ridiculous” money? The Giants is certainly one of those Traditional great NFL franchises that historically played Nick Saban Football.

How much more can he accomplish at Bama at 67 aside from yet another national title?

This could impact Clemson as we would find out finally if Dabo is "All-In" at Clemson or will "Go Home" if Mama calls...

Thoughts?

Saban will not leave now to coach the Giants...5 years ago maybe. Not now.

No you’re not. You just read what’s Bruce Arians said.

He was offered the job in the late 90s and didnt take it. instead stayed one more year at state then went ot LSU the next year. So much for a dream job...

Saban is old, loves what he does, and already makes more money than the NFL would pay him.

Never say never, but I'd be shocked if he doesn't retire from coaching at Bama.

Three things say not no, but hellz to the no;

Mrs Terry doesn't want an address change

John Mara is not about to relinquish full control to Saban

Saban's Process doesn't work in the NFL. I see him coaching 3 more seasons and retireing after the 2020 season.

He has one goal, passing Bryant for the most national titles. He now has the best QB he has ever had, no way he leaves now.

He’d have to go without Ms. Terry, cause she isn’t leaving Tuscaloosa.

NY Giants I thought it was Texas? No, Cleveland?

Every year, during the silly season, Coach Saban is leaving for somewhere else, anywhere to get out of Tuscaloosa... he was not supposed to last more than 5 years at Alabama. He just finished his eleventh......

The again Bama will lose 10 defensive players off this team and maybe 11 if Buggs cuts and runs. I assume Payne/Minkah/Harrison all go early. The again 7 starters off the 2016 defense were starters in the NFL this season or playing minutes in the 1st qtr.

Meanwhile he is hiring new assistants. Recruiting. And meeting with potential early draft entries. Getting next year's roster set.

But yeah, he covets the dysfunctional Giants' opening. Plenty of other NFL jobs that have been open made much more sense. But the Giant's are a 3-13 team with a lot of holes. And the most important position has a 37 year old Eli Manning on the tail end of his career.

Whoever takes the job, will be replacing Manning before they can get that ship righted.
