I will not be the coach of the Giants.

He ain't leaving fricking Bama, especially not now. He's 66, and Bama should cruise to national titles at least for the next couple years. He's fine where he is and just continue dominating til he retires.

I am hearing a lot of scuttlebutt that the Giants could be going after Saban in a similar way the Raiders went after Gruden. It wouldn’t be 10 years probably, but what ever the length offered would be pretty substantial maybe with a stake in the team….
If Saban turned down such an offer then he will never leave Bama....I personally think he stays put and goes for national Title #7.
Would Saban take the job if offered “ridiculous” money? The Giants is certainly one of those Traditional great NFL franchises that historically played Nick Saban Football.
How much more can he accomplish at Bama at 67 aside from yet another national title?
This could impact Clemson as we would find out finally if Dabo is "All-In" at Clemson or will "Go Home" if Mama calls...
Thoughts?
Saban doesn't care about the money. He has more then he could spend anyway. HE could ask for 20 mil a year from Bama and he would get it and he would be worth it.

I’d be weirdly excited. I couldn’t have asked for more from Saban like 6 years ago so he should do whatever he wants

She's the reason he isn't in the NFL right now.

Donovan wasn't going to the NBA because of his wife. Mullen's wife openly said she didn't want to go back to Florida. Jon Grudens wife didn't want him to get back into coaching.

Will you please take your Clemson arse off the SEC rant.

We are not that lucky. They will probably be wheeling out a ninety year old Saban. And he will still be winning titles.

And by “hearing” you mean that you read the Bruce Ariana article and maybe some message board speculation and are now trying to act like you have insider information. Message board heroism 101. Try harder.

Oh great the Clemson fans are back. Thank God. Listen DA, we hear this EVERY year. "2013: If Saban turns down this offer from Texas then he is never leaving Bama." Two years ago every NFL team with an opening called Saban's agent. He didnt even talk to them.

Usually that stuff is overstated. But I am not sure in this case. Two books have spent great lengths talking about her influence.

I don't want to sound like that bitter fan because I actually harbor very little animosity toward Saban... however, for a guy that always preaches about "being a competitor" it is strange that he hasn't given another go at the NFL.
Don't get me wrong, I thought he'd be at Alabama forever when he showed up there. However, it seems like a guy that preaches that message would want to show he can compete at the highest level. He now has a stacked deck at Alabama, and he has built in every competitive advantage possible for him to succeed there. I just feel a person like him would want to go prove he can do it where the playing field is even and it's just a matter of matching wits and managing a roster.

Saban has clearly stated more than once that he intends to keep coaching at Bama as long as his health permits and he's successful at doing it. He takes care of his fitness and health and enjoys his work. He's paid a ton of money and is his own boss.
In an interview with Tom Rinaldi shown just yesterday, Saban made it very clear that he wants to continue coaching at Bama and is very happy doing it. It seems to me he could coach at Bama 5-10 more years.

Remind me again of who in his family wanted Saban back in college coaching desperately. HINT: It wasn't Saban

Saban loves Alabama and College Football - He is not going anywhere. Especially now since he has a stud for a QB
