Good ole Bama logic. When stats makes them look good, it's golden. When stats make someone else look better - it's not legit somehow.

To Alabama fans: even if Saban leaves.. just "if"... your program is in great shape.

It's possible that Saban would like to get a NC at a third school. He recruits very well.

I predict IF he leaves Alabama for another university, he will leave the SEC, and NOT go to Notre Dame.

He'd be stupid to leave, but I said that before.

What excuse have LSU fans had for starting threads about him for the last five years?

No excuse needed. It's pure, unadulterated gratitude. We're still winning with his players, and we would like him, and everyone, to know how very much we appreciate it.

Is this the thread were we remind the Gumps that LSU made Saban and they should get on their calloused knees each day and thank Miles that his integrity allowed him to process Ryan Perriloux or Miles would had taken the head to head lead years ago?

I agree. It is stupid. But there's a difference between Miles not telling OSU he was interested in the LSU job and Nick Saban getting up in a press conference and saying "I'm not going to be the coach at Alabama". There is a difference between not disclosing the truth and telling a bold faced lie. In fact, in a legal forum, that principle is protected in this country
by a little thing called the 5th amendment.

Miles made a public statement about staying at OSU. Just like Saban did. But still if you were looking for a new job and your boss asked you would you tell him the truth? How about if a reporter asked you, would you tell him the truth? Only an moron would and we all know it.

Why u mad tho?
From the tone of some of these posts, I can imagine that if, five years from now, Saban announced his retirement and rode off into the sunset without having left Alabama for some other school, the number of wife beatings in Louisiana would spike sharply.

Wasn't he actually making more in the NFL at the time?

It seems like I read multiple sources which stated that he would take a pay cut to go to Alabama.

So why don't we revise our translation thusly:

"As of the time of this report, I am not going to be the head coach at Alabama, though I wish they'd throw me a rope ladder out of this Hell I'm in!"

True.....but with the direction the team was going he wasn't going to see the end of that contract.....and Bama stepped up nicely with a huge package - $32 million guaranteed. It is highly unlikely he would have ever seen $32 million from Miami. He got the Bama contract because they were desperate and he still had some leverage.

You obviously aren't a Dolphins fan. The team Saban built went 6-10 in his 2nd year when he jumped ship. Cam Cameron took that team over and went 1-15 and was gone after one season. I'm sure you think Saban would have won a Super Bowl in his 3rd year. Unfortunately. the NFL doesn't allow oversigning and has a little thing called the salary cap....and just like at the college level, Nicky doesn't know jack shite about quarterbacks.
