I think its hilarious that just a year ago, a large part of the LSU fanbase wanted to get rid of Miles. Now he is "their guy".

I'd give him at least another 5. He has already said that he would get extremely bored if he wasnt coaching.

Good...after miles beats him yet again this year, he will have the better of the head to head....we don't want anyone else at bama......beat the BEST right.....lol. However, unless he pulls in a SEC Title this year, some of the faithful will start grumbling after god only delivers 1 SEC Title in five years.

will alabama give him another five if he does not win another sec championship? If LSU beats bama this year, he will have 1 title in 5 years....and next year ain't very likely either.

As long he keeps pulling in top 3 recruiting classes, and keeps winning 10+ games a year, then I think we will let him stay here as long as he wants.

he's got 2 NCs, which is where he gets his rep from, but the other 12 years of his coaching career is far too medicore.

Maybe other 16 years? Saban has been head coach 17 full seasons, 1 Toledo, 5 Michigan State, 5 LSU, 2 Miami (NFL), 4 Bama. Counting the NFL time, he averages 4 3/8 losses per season.

I would agree he had 3 outstanding years (2008 Bama won 12 straight, just dropped the last 2).

BUT, losses to UAB and UL-M reveal he is far from perfect. (Miles catches more crap for winning Troy and Tennessee than Saban catches for losing those 2).

Clearly, since you're posting quotes of his from 2006.

What is the over/under on how many Bama fans will jump off a bridge if Saban decides to leave for another school?

What will they do with the statue?

Because the line to apply for the job won't be a mile long.

Sit in the same spot, like the other four.

When Saban won a title in 2009 at Bama and LSU struggled through a second disappointing season in a row and those players were all recruited by Les Miles......I gotta say the thought of Saban leaving Bama was something I was looking forward to. But with Bama struggling a little last year and LSU rebounding nicely the past 2....I really don't give much thought to whether Saban stays or goes. It's not like Curley Hallman is the HC in waiting in Tuscaloosa.
