The man is 60. He's in the last 5 years of his coaching life. Those years will be spent at Bama. Just accept it and move on. This song has gotten old and tired.

As an LSU fan I thank Saban for returning us to the top.
As a Saints fan, I think Saban for the biggest mistake of his coaching career... taking Culpepper over Brees.

Per Cecil Hurt's Twitter feed: Saban on SEC teleconference: "As long as I feel healthy and excited about coaching, I would like to stay here (at UA) as long as I can."
oh $hit, here it goes again
The only time Saban lies is "when his lips move"
If Saban said this, and I'm not sure that he did, then something's up!
There are two possibilities here!
1. He's (Sexton, his agent) on to something new!
2. He's gonna jack up BAMA for some more $$GREEN$$
It couldn't happen to a nicer buncha pricks

How do you think I feel about Saban as an LSU alum and a lifetime Dolphin fan who went to HS and was teammates with the Shulas?

It's very simple - Saban/Sexton are geniuses - they never have a buyout clause (Or the one at LSU was laughably easy to bypass - he took an NFL job) - SO, that is a guarantee that he can flirt and entertain whatever offers people want to "muse" about, out loud with Sexton. He catalogues these and brings them to his current employer.
The special irony is - he could demand more on signing day, if he would just agree to a huge buyout clase - he would be giving up something for the money. However, this freedom to look elsewhere has given him the leverage to demand more money every year (or every other year) he has been a head coach, and when they finally balk at paying his freight - he leaves.
It's actually pretty brilliant. I think he will finish coaching with $50 or $60 million in the bank, maybe more. Not bad for a poor kid from coal mining country.

Alot of LSU fans had an obsession with Saban 2 or 3 years ago....and it was ridiculous. But what is even MORE ridiculous is the Bama fans that think that the obsession exists in 2011 or that LSU fans want Saban back just because we still like to take occasional shots at him. Sorry Gumps, those shots does not an obsession make. You've got your guy and he's a good one. We've got our guy and he's a good one too.

You say that, but the posts like the one above say differently.

I don't know what you are reading but the posts above that I read only make reference to Saban and his agent trying to leverage better contracts and not a dman thing about LSU wanting him back. In fact one post thanks him for what he did for LSU and another toasts him for retiring a wealthy man.
