Shaft, for years you claimed Saban was simply not a good coach. To make things even tougher on him, 18 months ago you posted that Saban was showing signs of dementia. You hated Saban, just like every Alabama quarterback ever (except those who transferred). Saban was trash, he had lost it, and you were glad to see him go.

Why the sudden change of heart?

I think this should be the focus of this post. We, as a forum, need to post our stupid thoughts on our own teams board first. Let our own kind shite on us or lift us up before we post on the SEC rant.

Though, I don't think those boards get near the traffic.

Awesome. Texas can kick his arse again in Tuscaloosa as a conference game now.

There could be only one reason - if it were going to happen - because Kalen DeBoer isn't getting it done.

He bent Brian Kelly over like he was the fresh fish in the penitentiary.

That was in Kelly’s 3rd season with the highest paid assistant in football.

This season will be even more brutal on you.

You are banking on making the playoffs.

LSU is going to be 5-3 when they play Alabama. I just hope Alabama doesn’t overlook them like Vanderbilt.

If LSU is somehow good this year, I fear that you and TrueLefty will actually kill yourselves.

Bear Bryant has better odds of returning to the Bama side lines. Saban is retired from coaching. He won’t be at Bama, Auburn, Or LSU

Brian Kelly...LSU

None of that has to do with the topic at hand.

Why don't you take your obsession to a new thread?

There is another reason. He doesn’t want to live in Baton Rouge. He already proved that.

Remember when LSU burned him in effigy? Why wouldn’t he want to return to those pyromaniacs.

If Kalen DeBoer was getting it done, why would anyone talk about bringing Saban back?

Maybe Alabama fans wouldn't think he wasn't getting it done if he could beat Tennessee, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt.

Because it was G-Mac speaking out of turn. Greg works for ESPN and hosts his own podcast, as well as contributes to sports radio. His desire to be first rather than right has further distanced him from his days as a player. He has since tried to crawl it back, but it doesn't seem to fit back in the bottle. It never does.

I’m listening to Stuart Mandel and Bruce Feldman’s podcast that just dropped. Stuart thinks he’s going to Oklahoma.

ts over, enjoy mediocrity, Saban isnt coming out of retirement. You sound just as dumb as the LSU fans that believe hes coming to LSU.

I don't think we'll sit in mediocrity, this isn't the post Bryant years of probation and limited scholarships. I think we'll be just fine and our recruiting has reflected that.

But I agree, Saban isn't coming out of retirement and anyone who thinks that is very naive.

No sane or reasonable person is laughing at Steve Spurrier.

South Carolina has three 11 win seasons in their history. Spurrier was the coach and he did it in back to back to back years 2011-2013. In eleven seasons at USC he only has one losing season, his last. He led them to their only SEC division title.

He did more at USC than any other coach in their programs history.
