I felt like LSU ought to have gone with Max Johnson anyway to prep him for a big 2022.

I felt Johnson showed us something in that Florida win. I know it took an ill timed personal foul penalty, and an insanely long game winning field goal in fog to get the win and UF actually rested their best player for Bama. Still, I saw a young man determined. Sucks for Brennan, and I hate it for him.

edit After seeing my post, I realized it is inappopriate time for a joke, so I edited it out.

Dan must have thought LSU was coming to The Swamp and quit if things went bad for them.

Bad plan Dan.

Have been fielding questions almost all day about #LSU QB Myles Brennan. Two people around the program have advised of a potential injury to Myles’ right arm, however trying to confirm. More details to follow. AGAIN, trying to confirm. #AYS

Shea Dixon from 247 said a story should be out soon

LSU twitter confirms the rumor

LSU quarterback Myles Brennan suffered a left arm injury that will require surgery. His timeline for return is yet to be determined.

So that means LSU will have the lead quarterback playing this season and would that lead to another so so season for the second year in a row? That isn't good. Hope he comes back stronger and be the next quarterback to get to another LSU Championship.

Poor kid, he's had terrible injury luck. Really hope he heals up better than ever.

Preseason injuries are the suck of college football. They usually happen in a benign way also.

Damn, regardless of the circumstances, that absolutely sucks.

Hate it for that kid.

Never want an injury even to an opponent.

Wasn’t Max expected to start. Seems like Lsu fan has been high on him.

Hate to hear that! I always want to play a team at full strength not that we’re probably playing each other this year but damn as an OU fan and I can feel your pain when we lost Jason White with ACL injuries, Sam Bradford with shoulder injuries etc… it sucks for the kid who works so hard to have it taken away.

Father, You are awesome in all things.
You are the mender of broken bones.
Myles has broken his arm, but I know You can heal it in the twinkle of an eye.
I'm asking that You mend that bone, just as You formed it, Father—that you ease this young man’s pain and frustration.
You are the great physician.
You said in Your word, Father, that if we ask—unwavering in our faith—You will answer our prayers.
In Your name I pray, Father.
Amen.

A rolled ankle and helmet to helmet hit from a walk on. Sounds like y’all need to poach a transfer from a small school.

Probably the biggest issue this causes for LSU. Personally I couldn't tell much of a difference in y'all's offense from Brennan to Johnson, but now you're an injury away from being in the shite. Hope he gets well soon. Does he have eligibility left after this year? I'd imagine that after getting hurt early last year too he could get a medical redshirt.

Yikes. And I recall Max had a bad habit holding the ball too long. He took some shots vs us last year.
