Freeze looks like he's gained 20 pounds and hasn't slept more than 4 hours a night.
One of Freeze's issues is he does have many coaching connections. That's why Nix is the offensive coordinator, he was hoping talent could make up for deficiencies, when Freeze got fired at Ole Miss he left Matt Luke saddled with Longo who isn't fit to coach freshman high school football.
Longo had AJ Brown, DK Metcalf, and Dawson Knox. Dawson Knox had 0 touchdowns at Ole Miss as a TE..a complete waste of talent I could have averaged 40 points a game with those all stars.

They are already that. Florida is the school that is teetering on the edge of that. They are one more bad hire away IMHO.

Florida will be fine if they get the Moo State guy out of the way.

Mizzou IS A BETTER JOB THAN AUBURN,

There is no world in which MIZZ is a better job than Auburn. In fact, outside of Vandy and maybe UK, every job in the SEC is better than MIZZ. Drink will take the first big job he is offered.

What was the La Monroe coaches name? By your logic he'd be a better candidate right?

Yup. That is why Drink gets paid so little. Mizzou just can't fund football.

Wrong. That was the old world where the likes of auburn and bama etc cheat and pay players.

Now in the NIL world the playing field is much more even.

But go on and keep telling yourself whatever makes you feel better.

Auburn hired two coaches I can think of that had never beaten Alabama….when they were hired.

Pat Dye

Tommy Tuberville

They were able to change that after they got to Auburn…..

Take away his odd personality and Drink is a good coach: he gets the most out of the players he has

You hope that but you don’t really believe that. Even McElwain won the East division at Florida. UF has been better than Tennessee in the last 25 years or whatever (and UF was easily the best team in the 90s) , and though i hoped Tennessee would never get it right again , I knew that it was really just finding a good coach, and Bobby Hill Sr is good enough to make them a conference contender.

Look at LSU. They were an also ran and hadn’t won a national title since the segregated 1950s till Nick Saban arrived there. UGA only won 2 national titles ever till Kirby Smart, who learned from Saban at Alabama, arrived in Athens.

In this pay for play and transfer portal college football world geography doesn’t matter in recruiting as much as it used to. If your boosters are willing to pony up, you don’t have to be located in a great recruiting region ( though of course UF is) and you don’t have to have the brand of an Alabama or Notre Dame or UGA to attract corporate $$$$, which is the coming trend. Nebraska won’t even be Nebrasked forever. It’s just a matter of time, the right coaching staff, and the funds to buy enough good players, wherever the funds may come from

I am rambling, but UF has more advantages than most programs do. If they can get boosters and administrators working together for the benefit of the program , and just find the right coach, they will be near instant contenders again.

Drink isn't going anywhere, unless he is crazy. He can stay at Mizzou, not worry about his job after 1 bad season, owns the State of MO. has 2 big metro areas/media markets to recruit, has BIG campus & booster support, great facilities, has built this program himself from the ground up & gets to coach in the SEC. He has the program close. Mizzou has been very good the last few years. With a few big hits in the portal & recruiting, he can take the next step. Why take over programs like FL, AU & AR that need to be rebuilt? Is there upside, sure, but what happens if he is not able to rebuild fast enough. He gets fired, that's what!
