re: Indiana football schedule giving bama a run for its money
Posted by STL1 on 1/28/26 at 1:37 pm to hawgfaninc
That schedule is nothing until they go on the road to UMass.
You are either a professional or a "college player" getting paid. While college players are getting paid like professionals, they are amateurs that should be that while playing under a university's banner. Once you go pro, you are out. Simple as that! :banghead:
This dude should NOT be playing college basketball. He signed pro contracts with NBA teams:
Professional Experience: Played three seasons in the G League, averaging 8.8 points and 7.1 rebounds for the Grand Rapids Gold.
Contract Status: Signed a two-way contract with the San Antonio Spurs in 2023 and later an Exhibit 10 deal with the Detroit Pistons.
Return to College: In Jan. 2026, he became the first player to return to NCAA eligibility after signing an NBA contract and playing in the G League, following a legal dispute with the NCAA
Once you sign ANY pro deal, you should have NO eligibility in college ball. End of story!

Maybe so, but once a player crosses the threshold into ANY professional league, your college eligibility should be forever gone.
I agree, things are out of whack, but pro athletes playing college ball.....I draw the line there... What next, guys that went straight to the NBA from HS can now come back to college with years of eligibility after their pro career ends? :dunno:
Hey Ole Miss..

Just saw the report on Fox News. The damage from the ice looks terrible.
Bill Hemmer had the Mayor of Oxford on the show just now. She said the damage has brought her to tears. Looks like The Grove sustained significant damage. Sending our best from up here in Mizzourah. Hope ya'll have a quick recovery.

Should we ask the same question regarding Auburn basketball...

Frick those losers! :doublebird:
This dude is dumb as frick. Ignore him
Couldn't said it better. This dude is an idiot. Who GAF about Utah besides left-wing Californians moving there turning it into a hell-hole like they created in CA. Utah is a great place, but it will soon lose everything to the greedy politicians welcoming people from CA bringing their BS to Utah. Just a matter of time. Book it!
The Rams were greatly supported in STL. THE ONLY reason they went back to LA was because his greedy arse was one of the only owners that had the money to fix the "LA problem" for the NFL. StanK has ZERO loyalty to any fan, any city, only to money. It was a rigged process & St. Louis was collateral damage. Some owners did not want that to happen, but STL had to terrible luck of having Kroenke as the owner. The Jags owner Shad Kahn wanted to buy the team & keep it in STL, but Kroenke exercised his 1st right of refusal. That was when the fix was in. STL is a great NFL market. The football Cardinals left due to a stadium dispute with the owner. It was stupid & short sighted by local politicians, but NEITHER MOVE had anything to do with lack of fan support, lack of market viability or anything bad against STL. It was simply 2 greedy owners willing to do what NFL owners do. SHITE on their fanbases for money. Pretty much what college football has become. No loyalty towards any university. It is a "frick you, pay me" climate now. Get a clue! With gambling taking over sports, expect that to get worse.
While I agree with you on something (one thing) a mutual hatred of the Chiefs, I can't agree the Kansas side is better. It is a few cookie cutter burbs & wasteland.

It was pretty easy to predict OU would fall early in the CFP. (And this is not disrespect, just fact) The D is very good to elite, the offense is putrid. They looked good early, but came back down to earth & back to what they were all season, hence the reason OU is done. Once Bama figured out they needed to get some pressure on Mateer, he folded like a cheap suit.
Which SEC team played the UMass Minutemen AT HOME last season? :dunno:
Well...let me help you remember..The blueblood Georgia Bulldogs..... :doublebird:

"Yes, but even if we cheated our arses off, we beat little brother Mizzou 77-0 & historically have a lopsided record against Mizzou"
These OU fricks are just dumb tobacco-chewing inbreds. We shouldn't expect them to understand the advantages cheating brought to their program. :banghead:

Meh, he wants to keep his job. Lane has to win at a high, high level or he'll be gone in a few years at his salary. How he shite on his players, isn't going to play well with recruits. They will understand that going in, no loyalty. Perform or you are out, just like the professional level. Not saying that is wrong, but may rub some recruits/parents the wrong way. :dunno:

Not ONE Mizzou fan gives a flying frick about baker. Batoon has been an awesome upgrade. Much more versatile D-coordinator. And that is not a shot at Baker. Batoon is just better. That's a fact. It's the O-coordinator that held back Mizzou this season.
