Rick Neuheisel believes that Milroe will have his way with Georgia’s defense on the ground

“Both teams gave up over 200 yards rushing to Auburn. Both teams did,” Neuheisel said on Inside College Football. “If you look at the Auburn quarterbacks against Georgia, they combined for 128 yards, Payton Thorne, Robby Ashford, 128 yards, 16 carries. That’s the only running quarterback Georgia really faced this year.”

Neuheisel believes that Milroe will have his way with Georgia’s defense on the ground.

“Here comes Jalen Milroe who’s got a couple of hundred yard games under his belt,” Neuheisel said. “Tommy Rees has developed the quarterback run game to go along with some big downfield chunks. They’re No. 2 in the country in terms of yards per attempt. There’s reason to believe on the geographic feel why they can win… The Church of Saban will sing again.”

Milroe will have to get over his insistence that he is a pocket passer for this to work for Bama.

ETA: We are a completely different team when he actually takes open running lanes.

I mean this is just blatantly false. UGA faced Haynes King last week who, despite certainly being less of an athlete than Milroe, has more rushing yards (648) on the season. Dart and Brady Cook are also capable running QBs.

Milroe should really could learn a lot from Daniels at LSU. Daniels has perfected the balance of when to pass and when to take off. Its what made him basically undefendable this season

Well, that means we'll have to do an entirely new gameplan for 1 game with only 1 week to prepare.

It’s definitely possible. This game is so evenly stacked that there is no way to predict what is going to happen.

I'm sure none of the defenders have ever tackled a guy who runs a 4.4

CJ Allen and Malaki Starks are built for Milroe.

But we can't let him step up to run. He would most likely kill us if the DL allows that to happen. We need to keep him horizontal.

If Ga doesn't put a spy on Milroe I'd be shocked. Teams that did shut his running down.

My guess is CJ Allen will be that spy

So this projection is likely based on McClellan being a non-factor in the game which is bad news for Bama.

Not sure how durable Milroe will be if he has to run more than usual.

I was watching the unofficial assistant coaches breakdown of the Auburn game and the guy said Milroe never ran an RPO offense in high school and that's where his issues come from.

To me, I just have to wonder how much time someone needs to figure that out.

There’s a reason Neuheisel isn’t coaching anymore, so…..

Exactly.

The play that frustrated and confused me the most at the end of the barn game was where he started pulling up on 3rd and long and had the big collision with the CB. Bruh, you weigh 40 more pounds than him, run his arse over.

Neither team stopped the run last weekend, it will be very interesting to see who makes the best offensive game-plan to attack the perceived weaknesses and which team corrects the problems on defense.

I'm not claiming Milroe will rack up yards on the ground... but this statement is a little off-base. Milroe has delivered / taken several shot this season while running. The guy is pretty durable.

Daniels really has been incredible this year. He has put on a clinic in multiple games.

Heisman...give it to him.
