Yes, he is a shitty person.

Unless there are major changes in the Alabama administration and power structure of boosters Alabama will never hire Lane Kiffin. They saw how immature and narcissistic he was in his 3 years in Tuscaloosa. I doubt all the rumors are true. But you don’t get a reputation and image like he did if some of them aren’t true.

There is too much risk of him running off the rails for Alabama to hire him. They do not want Mike Price 2.0. The Ole Miss job was a chance to show the world he has matured. And then as he has always done he burned every bridge on his way out of town.

Couldn’t have possibly had anything to do with the SECCG

So he was going to stay at Ole Miss if they were in the SECCG?

He was going to announce leaving during the post game press conference after Ole Miss wins an SECC and has a bye in the playoff?

Or...he was waiting to see if Ole Miss was going to play in the SECCG.

That defeats the whole argument of leaving for LSU "so yiu can win championships". If you can win championships where you're at then wtf is the point?

Lord Saban told Lane the better job was in BR.

I would imagine Saban considers LSU a better job than the other options Florida, Arkansas, Auburn, or Penn State.

Just being IN the SECCG isn't "winning a championship."

Plus, winning the SECC is meaningless. It's still easier to win national championships at LSU than Ole Miss.

Another “not Bama thread about Kiffin” for Tuscaloosa.

I don’t think he was ever staying at Ole Miss. I’m talking about the timing of the announcement. We already know he wanted to coach the playoff.

He isn’t a lifelong bama fan. I don’t really see why as a 50 yr old man he will do anything to get to bama. That sounds phony. Does school stature even matter anymore? Does your area have recruits and do you have money. LSU checks both of those so if you can’t win there you aren’t gonna win at bama. Fans are better though

Wait, you think Kiffin left Bama for Florida Atlantic University in the mighty American G5 conference of his own volition??

LSU fans never fail to deliver a good laugh.

Finebaum said the same thing the other day. Kiffin took the LSU job when it became apparent that he will never get a shot at his dream job.

Lucky for LSU that Bama boosters have hot wives.

Yes, he left Alabama to become the head coach at FAU.

Are you retarded?

The Gump’s built-in advantages are gone. Bama offers nothing that LSU, Ohio St, Georgia, Aggy, Oregon, Michigan, etc., can’t match. My guess is Lane wouldn’t be thrilled about being in Saban’s shadow constantly.

But the Gumps aren’t the current center of attention so by all means, go on with the shite posting.

Why did Alabama hire DeBoer when Kiffin was available few years ago? Saban recommended DeBoer. Kiffin is probably a better fit at LSU anyway.

He is. He’s shown he can’t handle a blue blood program but does well at underdog programs.

??????????, even the best coach of all time knows that the Bama job is a step down to LSU. That may have been Kiffin feeling at some point in the past but once he sees how easy Louisiana and east Texas recruiting is, he won’t go anywhere
