Bama begged to keep their permanent game against Mississippi State.

And we know why.

Longest running matchup for Bama?

Closest two SEC schools by distance?

What's your guess?

Imagine telling Bama baws in 2016 that they'd be behaving the way they do now.

Imagine telling LSU baws they’d be behaving the way they do now. Fired a national championship coach. Hired the winningest coach in football and fired him. Paid the second biggest buyout in history to hire a coach who has never beaten Alabama.

I hope for LSU’s sake that Graves and Landry know what they are doing.

Muh I know we can't run the ball and lost 4 games, but at least we beat some schools who fired their coaches.

Muh lets give our guy an extension, he only got cornholed in 2 of his final 3 games.

Muh at least we made a 12 team playoff once.

they didnt even deserve to be in the game. Vandy and ND had better claim for the spot, but the corrupt fricks gifted bama a rematch with OK, as per fricking usual.

Yet they have won ten National Titles since 1989. They are like Bama on cocaine.

10 wins?

I hope we can get 7 or 8 sometime.

This has been a pretty dark time since 2019.

What's that story? I wasn't alive then.

Well, Grasshopper, let me regale you with a tale straight out of Ripley's Believe It or Not.

Once upon a time, there was a lifelong BAMA coach who idolized his Head Coach so much he imitated everything he said and everything he did to be a great football team. At a moment of weakness and poor judgment, he went to a rival school of all rival schools. But still being basically clueless as the man with the plan, he also copied, carefully, every offensive and defensive formation and harvested some of the coaching staff, including past players. Let's go ahead and call that team BAMA Lite. Just think Kirby Smart and Georgia if this tale is still too impossible to comprehene.

Suddenly, BAMA LITE becomes an SEC and national power and wins games on a level never before seen on the Plains of mediocrity. But alas, all good deeds never go unpunished, and soon the BAMA LITERS realize the head coach is not half the man he idolized so much. Suddenly, on his replay shows, the Great Imitator starts coughing uncontrollably when big games show up on the schedule, and his teams start choking on all big games, even going for a tie in the biggest of all moments against Syracuse rather than a win that would have finally brought pigskin glory he craved so much. Very un-BAMA-like, don't you think? And then something happened that defied all his mentors' comparisons and ambitions.

The dude started paying his players, and one of his cubs decided to record the whole thing for 60 minutes. The BAMA LITE hierarchy just can't put out the NCAA fire, and the Great Imitator is finally let go. I have to stop here and just say, with a sense of pride and a little karma, as a young lad, I got to see his last imitation in the 1992 Iron Bowl on Turkey Day. Ironically, BAMA wins 17 to 0 and goes on to win the NC.

The great Imitator gets a field named after him in Nowhere, Alabama, and goes off into the sunset with a 5th of something always at his side to ease the pain of what could have been. A cautionary tale indeed.

You're really invested in the 1980's. How old are you? 85?
And, I was friends with football players when.I was a student at Auburn. They were friends with guys at Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, Georgia. They all got paid. You're a naive dumb@ss if you believe otherwise.

You missed my point, Grasshopper; you have zero understanding of barner history back to the most successful decade of football for you guys. Now you know. And you're certainly welcome.

As far as all the other drivel you speak of, I think Lee Marvin in the Dirty Dozen said it best: " Yeah, but you let them see you do it."
