NIL and the transfer portal have changed all of that. 1-2 years should be sufficient. Look at Nebraska. And if I had to guess, their roster was probably as bad or worse than AU's.

He’s got complete booster alignment behind him to build the roster and they are going to give him time.
The Vegas over/under win total was set at 7.5 this season. Many expected 5 regular season losses. It’ll take time to contend.

They will make a business decision. As a top shelf WR, do you keep playing behind a porous oline with an ineffective QB that struggles to get you the ball OR do you go ahead and get your agent working the phone lines looking for a better situation?

Difference between him and Jimbo is Hugh can recruit the lines well and wants to recruit the lines well.
ETA: I'm not saying Hugh = Jimbo. All I'm saying is that throwing more $$ at kids doesn't tend to fix these kinds of issues. It magnifies them.

If I had to pick a coach to win one big game...Freeze is my guy for sure. Only Saban is better I think...and Freeze beat him 2 times a roster that was half as good.
But, I don't know that he has that next level ability like smart, saban...to do it at an extremely high lever week in week out year after year.
I do think if he can load up on talent and get a decent QB he can definitely make a playoff run and if he does he's as dangerous as anyone in playoff senecio

Pretty much. This is the Freeze experience. Plus, he'll beat teams like Alabama and then have inexplicable losses to teams like Memphis or Cal.
Remember--this is the guy who beat Alabama, Auburn, LSU, and Texas A&M in the same season and couldn't win the division. Let that sink in.

4th-25 happened. He puts everything he has into games against us now. It broke him.
Beat us with liberty and lost the next 5 I think, beat us last year and got skull drug by nmsu.
