Alabama looks soft. It comes from the top.
There, I said it.
We don’t seem to line up with an attitude that says “I’m meaner and harder than you and I’m going to whip your arse today.” Its finesse and scheme over raw might. Play-calling and scheming is important but give me 11 angry men who want to hurt people.
The defense is better but it’s still not beat the other motherfricker’s arse tough. I want some scalp-takers. Unfortunately, I don’t think that’s in DeBoer’s DNA.
There probably aren’t half a dozen coaches better than him but I wish he was more of an a-hole. Just throw your headset once, man.

I think LSU has some issues. OL couldn’t move La Tech off the ball, receivers didn’t get open and you won’t survive an SEC run with turnovers. BUT that defense is astounding.

LSU is averaging 48 points per game and the starting defense is averaging giving up 0. We're going to have a good season if we stay healthy

I disagree. I saw an Alabama Defense in the second half taking control of that game. Theyre big strong and yes physical They got after that QB.
I even saw Olinemen driving people off the LOS at times. There might be hope for them

Alex McPherson has been through hell and is still a good kicker.
Dude is m-o-n-e-y .... and getting stronger. That will be a huge help to a team that lost six games by one score last season.
Auburn D is solid ... a lot to be thankful for there.
Offense? ... still haven't seen the OL improvement I expected ... and that's a major problem. Rest of the O looks really solid. Cobb and Mabson are grinding in a good way

LSU will go undefeated.
Clemson is absolute bog sludge and LSU was only up 10-7 on a directional team at the half.
THEY are the real frauds.

Bama’s defense is legit. Scored 7 points and gave up 10. Upgraded thru the portal at DL and LB to go with a great secondary. Offense is a work in progress. Survive and advance! Roll Tide!

I still have concerns about Auburn’s offensive line.
But I’ll say this, last night was the first time I saw Auburn more or less look like what Auburn is supposed to look like in six years.

I think Golesh is a dude

Clark is a much better passer compared to Leavitt.
LaTech used a 3-3-5 and flooded the gaps to stop the run game. I think Pete will do the same.
I'm always concerned when a qb has more rushing td's than passing td's.

Played a sloppy first half, but Grubb actually made some adjustments at the half. ...and our linebackers started playing in the 3rd qtr. Everyone looked really good in the second half.

SEC's newest - most heated feud -

Our team and our coach just had their slumpbuster moment. They had played and coached tight in big games, but I think they'll now be able to just play loose.

Our offense is concerning in some areas but we don’t need to act like we haven’t found ways to move the ball. We still had 528 yards last night but the four turnovers in the first half negated all of that. It’s encouraging to see that we can move the ball and we have a defense that is filthy. Just have to protect the football better.

Fair enough. We did shut them down in the 2nd half. Of course, not every coach has to be a fire-breather like Saban. Stallings was more businesslike and reserved. Tom Osborne. Tom Landry. Even Bryant wasn’t a screamer but he built hard arse men and he was demanding. I guess I just want to see some emotion. A passive attitude can trickle down.

SC is pretty much what it's always been under Beamer. Salty D. Elite special teams. Offense that can be lights out, or horribly inept, depending on the week. Two best players injured, and no timetable for return.
State vs SC next week is a sneaky great game. I'm glad it's at home.

I’m glad LSU struggled last night at times. Brought us back to Earth after Clemson and provided some good film to study and improve on without actually losing a game.

There is only 1 Saban....doubtful if there will ever be another.
