If you're like me, you hate almost everything about NIL. But the Rashada saga may at least signify some solace. An eventual merit-based pay scale.

Rashada was promised a lot based on nothing but conjecture. He wasn't that good, so the promises weren't kept.
I personally think Florida should have to pay, because they made promises.

But it's a test case in a new landscape. This is basically professional football now. And with the players' ability to transfer at will, hopefully the owners (er, uh, I mean, sponsors.....uh, no wait, I mean schools) will stop offering zillions to 17 year old high school kids. The big money won't be offered until they get to this level and prove they can hack it.
Perhaps. Just a hopeful thought anyway.

Rashada is greedy because Miami offered him $9M and he agreed to go there.
Then Florida offered him $10M and he didn't want to go to Florida.
Then Florida offered him $13M and he changed his mind.

Who the frick are you and how much money do you make?
Guys on this board would suck a dick for $9M.
A&M fans would do it because it is Tuesday.

No mystery this post is from a fan of the team Rash is currently at, where he probably won't ever play.
But let Bama offer him $15m and watch this same punkbitch whine about how things have changed.

Rashada has no NIL deal at UGA and is currently 3rd string at QB.

If Florida fricked Rashada, then frick Florida. It is good that these acts and activities of inept programs are coming to light.

Be good. Do good.
Or face the consequences.

I haven't seen you on the money board.

We know what a&m fans do for fun.
Imagine what they'd do for $9M.

It’s a big deal in the sense that, IF UF promised money and didn’t deliver, they will and should pay dearly for it, especially if Rashada can show he had to take a loss to go to ASU. Like or hate Rashada, he would have standing in court over this and get a hefty payday.

It's also a big deal for the general public to have some sensibility about where all this NIL greed is coming from. So far, it's the player's fault. The truth is guardrails need to be on NIL sooner than later because of the adults in the room. For the reasons we are discussing. Adults can't regulate their spending. That was predictable from the start. The Pac-12 just went away at the speed of sound because of pure greed. Tennessee just made an 8 million dollar deal with their QB. Now we hear about Miami and Florida saying essentially, hold my NIL beer.

It's the greedy and selfish adults in the room who just can't help themselves and will soon break the bank and the sport if left on their own merits for much longer.

That’s already been decided by the courts. NCAA or schools can’t put caps on making money. It’s a free market and kids till they unionize. Now the only thing I can see making it better and getting an anti trust exemption is to have a collective bargaining agreement like the NFL has.
