Well, at least we know you aren't an alter.

Baws is TD slang for dudes, especially of the good ol' boy type.

Tuscaloosa's most vibrant and largest economic activities are related to the "industries of poverty". In other words, Pawn shops, Payday Loan offices, Cash for Title, Check Cashing, Bad Credit Used Automobiles lots, Tatoo Parlors, ad nauseam. Would never want to visit Tuscaloosa again much less live there. I sincerely feel sorry for those stuck there. Heaven help them..... Plus being associted with bama fans is punishment enough.

Auburn-but I’m biased
If objective and just in academics, Bama. I’m business/law so that would def be my jam. Also, not going to lie, it would be fun to be part of that university at this time in history, a great ride.
If you throw the city in there though, I think that would tip the scales to Auburn. Tuscaloosa is a dump compared to Auburn.

Yet it is San Francisco that has their streets filled with used syringes and mass amounts of homeless.......

Perhaps you need to rethink your stance.

You obviously have not been to Tuscaloosa lately. Downtown Tuscaloosa is a gem. The ampitheater, the Black Warrior River and the university's cultural offerings are pretty awesome. The University's coming Performing Arts Center will be a treasure.

I’m certain that you are right. And no, I have not. But I’m talking about Tuscaloosa in aggregate. Auburn has lower crime, better schools, higher income (excluding the student population), and is generally more aesthetically pleasing than Tuscaloosa. Auburn doesn’t really have large, old industrial areas or downtrodden areas. Tuscaloosa does.

Tuscaloosa and Auburn (Opelika) are each really nice towns. We're lucky that is the case and the area around the cities provide some really nice outdoor activities too.

Well Tuscaloosa is still significantly bigger than Auburn and closer to the Bham metro area, so of course it has more crime. But horrendous crimes have happened in Auburn too. Remember that Auburn student who was raped and then burned to death right next to campus?

Tuscaloosa isn’t even that bad. They have good shows at the theater on the strip regularly. Decent food options. 17 national championships is the main thing that attracts me.
