Depends on what you’re going to college for...
If I’m going for an education I’m going to Auburn.
If I’m going for a better education I’m going to Alabama.
If I’m going for an education I’m going to Auburn.
If I’m going for a better education I’m going to Alabama.

As long as you don't mind making less money.

I'll go ahead and put in my usual two cents when this thread comes up : the state of Alabama is really fortunate to have very good programs in almost every professional field between Alabama and Auburn. If there is something out there you want to do chances are high you can go to Alabama or Auburn (or either) and get a very solid degree in that field.
For a state with a small population and even smaller budgets, it is very fortunate to have two schools that complement each other as well as Auburn and Alabama do for a relatively cheap in state cost.
Ok now back to the trolls.

Auburn. Only because alums make more money. Otherwise I wouldn't care one way or the other.

Family ties to Bama so it would be them.

That is not quite true. Somehow they include the veterinarians that graduate from Auburn, but exclude the doctors that graduate from Alabama. Include those, and the Alabama grads make way more......

A lot of that is because Auburn has so many more STEM graudates than Alabama.
So, if you want to do that, Auburn is certainly a great option.

Realistically, if I wanted to study engineering or agriculture, Auburn. If I wanted to study science or a liberal art, Alabama.
All things being equal, I like Auburn more so in that case I will say Auburn.
