Systems like that work really well when you have a lot more data points as well as a lot more cross conference games. You get more non conference games in a basketball season than you get total games for a entire football season.
You could implement a NET like system but it would definitely be less accurate.

I don't have a problem with it. To me Ohio State is a better team. Though their head coach is sus due to being taken in by Sark like he was.
So what are we saying with these rankings ... are we ranking better teams? or just better season results? Both are kind of subjective though the latter is more objective? If the latter, then there are a few Big 12 and lesser conferences that will likely have 1 or zero losses at the end of the regular season. I mean I think there just needs to be better rankings. There has to be a combo of the two methods here.

Computers see a bad match-up in the Ole Miss run defense vs. the Florida run offense. Some of that is Ole Miss playing two really good running QBs in 3 weeks when most teams have played cupcakes. Ole Miss has done pretty well against starting RBs; Isaiah Brown was held to 2.3 ypc and he will likely be all ACC at the end of the year. Dillin Jones had a better game with 103 yards on 23 carries but 1/3 of that came on two runs. Outside of a 14 yard run in the 1st and a 20 yard run in the 4th, he averaged a hair above 3 ypc so he wasn't just gashing them.

Ole Miss coming off a huge emotional victory, line makes sense to me, could be easy let down game for them
