You will get your wish after this year. He will be drafted. After that, it is up to him

He's going to be fine. He's just not getting the best coaching right now. Sark has both the media and most of our fanbase convinced he's some brilliant offensive mind.
but you can't find any stats to back that up. Our total offense ranking last two seasons, considering the players we had, was fricking pathetic.
2025 total offense ncaa - 41st
2024 total offense ncaa - 29th

but sure...he's a "genius' offensive mind right?

Leavitt is a hard one to judge because of his Lisfranc injury/surgery, and what does that do to his mobility and play style?

Combine that with a very solid supporting cast, a consistent OL at ASU, and weak B12, and it is justified to have questions.

I don't think he is in my top 5, but there is enough to have concerns if you look at him as a "glass half empty" scenario.

He’s had mixed success, both in the college ranks and the NFL, and was named the OC Of The Year, so I can see how many would look on him as a good offensive coach. And, he’s coached up some good players during his time.

You have to remember, he’s had serious personal problems with drinking that had to impact his judgement and results.

Like Kiffin, if he can mature and overcome personal issues, he is a good coach. This year will be interesting because Texas should be in the CFP.

Somewhat surprised by this one.

The rest don't shock me too much and Underwood was terrible his frosh year. He has raw talent and size but seems to either not get coaching or refuses to accept it

I don't give a shite about his awards and what fans or media "think". I look at stats. That's all that matters. He's average at best.

that even helps back up my claim. With the incredible players he's had on offense, it's pathetic when you look at actual production.

Sark and Kiffin are basically the same coach. Neither will ever win a title as head coach. more hype than anything else.

He has 3 HoF QBs in his own damn family that run the most elite QB camp in the fricking nation....how is he not getting coached right?

I’m not saying Kiffin isn’t good with QBs but does he deserve every credit or is it more Weiss and Lebby the last few years or just the massive amount of hard work players put in. If Kiffin gets all the credit and can do wonders then tell me about:
Mustain, Whittik, Kessler, Bateman, Barnett, Robinson, Johnson, Parr, Howard
does he get credit for players that succeed and those that don’t pan out also????

In no way saying Leavitt isn't any good, but tagging him top tier in SEC while coming back from an injury is a reach.

most of the rankings I have seen have him in the 4-7 range

which seems reasonable when you consider most people ranking these things are giving him an extra couple spots because Kiffin is just good with quartebacks

well weiss is OC, so even if you want to give weiss credit than that should play into the rankings

or you can give credit for good OC evaluation

How in the world is Drew Mestemaker on there but not Arch?
Because whoever wrote that article has eyeballs and saw Arch finally playing up to his potential towards the end of the season. You're a fan, but didn't happen to notice that?

I don't think anyone believes Kiffin can just make a good quarterback out of anyone, it just seems like he does a good job out of picking guys to play in the system and then they make it work around him.

His teams have rarely, if ever, had BAD quarterback play.

They also think Sark is the best option to prepare Arch for the NFL. If only the Mannings knew as much as that message board genius, hookem33

Arch was arguably the best QB in CFB the back half of the season last year.

I was curious so I just pulled up his game log. From the midpoint of the season we see:

-Putrid performance in a 3 point overtime win against UK
-Banner day against a dreadful Miss State in another overtime win
-Another really solid statistical day, but against vanderbilt
-Mediocre performance in a 25 point loss to UGA
-Great performance in a rout against arkansas
-awful performance against aTm
-Solid bowl performance against Mich

-1.5 really solid games against "quality" (I guess vandy counts) competition
-2 great games against horrendous competition
-1 meh performance against a really good team
-1 bad performance against a really good team
-1 bad performance against a bad team

I don't know enough about the rest of CFB but I'd be fairly surprised if that was the best QB in the land during this stretch

Arch definitely was not near the best qb at tail end of last season but he was noticeably more comfortable and did improve. I anticipate he will be somewhere in or near the top 3 qb's in the SEC this season

Leavitt seems to have two outcomes. Horrendous or excellent. But has Lane ever had poor qb play? I wouldn’t bet against him playing well but if he doesn’t, they signed another half dozen qb’s in the portal.

Yeah, that's where I'm at regarding LSU, Kiffin, and Leavitt.

Leavitt may well be a bust or a non-factor (same as whoever was supposed to be Ole Miss' QB last year). But LSU also signed Longstreet- a 5 star redshirt freshman, who was the #3 QB in his recruiting class. THAT might be the steal of the portal, honestly.
And then there's Landen Clark, the guy from Elon whose highlights show physical tools.

Somebody will emerge.

Leavitt is going to surprise some folks. The guy has an elite arm and has already impressed some important teammates. I'm not even bothering to read the article. Obvious click bait with poor content.

But keep telling yourself that lmao

But, the number 1 player in the portal is going to not be good.

Arch is a loser. The black sheep of the Manning family.

Not sure about that, athletic and only his 3rd season.

Jayden Daniels only became elite after his 3rd season.
Season 4 his moved to LSU showed his promise
Season 5 Jayden won the Heisman
1st season as a pro he was awesome

Arch may come around sooner than you think but most are correct today he has not classified as elite to date.

I think he will be very good before he turns pro
