After last year most LSU fans believe QB play cant get any worse. Hell last yr had to be close to the bottom of the barrel.

This one makes no sense. They finished 1-11 last year and if he can get them to 6-6 it would be considered a big year. He plays in a weak conf so possibly could do even better. Hard to grade him because all he has is upside there.

I mean, play calling has at least a little to do with a QB's success. Scheme does, too, as does a Quarterback's receivers he throws to. I would say LSU could place check marks in all three of those categories.
I don't know about their defense, but their offense will probably be pretty darn good....IF Leavitt is healthy.

That would’ve put him 15th in the SEC only ahead of Jackson Arnold and DJ Lagway who finished with a 127 RTG.
I honestly think the comp is John Mateer who is another interesting case of a guy who is mobile and has upside, but whose stats and reputation don’t align at all after a season where he was injured.

Does it matter? Drink has done a very good job of bringing in QBs who can pass and teaching them how not to pass.

Leavitt seems to have two outcomes. Horrendous or excellent. But has Lane ever had poor qb play? I wouldn’t bet against him playing well but if he doesn’t, they signed another half dozen qb’s in the portal.

You have no frickin' clue what you're talking about.
Considering the amount of pressure he has been under and how much he improved last season, you either didn't pay attention or don't watch a lot of football. Most QBs would melt under the same microscope. He keeps his head down and works hard and it paid off.
No he's not Tom Brady and never will be but he sure as frick isn't one of the 5 most overrated QBs. That's retarded.
I just wish I could see what he could become with a better QB coach. The one now is doing him no favors....then again, Sark's entire offense is a joke most weeks.
