A&M plays New Mexico State next year - should put forth a better effort than Auburn
I would imagine so.
The following teams put a better effort against NM State than Auburn this year, by either beating them or losing by less than 21 points:
New Mexico, Hawaii, FIU, Sam Houston, LA Tech, Middle Tn State, WKU, Jax State, and Liberty, who beat them twice.
Maybe Auburn hired away the wrong coach from Liberty

Lane Kiffin hasnt lost a game that he was supposed to win since he has been in Oxford, unless last seasons egg bowl would count.
He lost to Brian Harsin

Freeze seems to pick and choose which games he prepares for.

Always has. The demolishing by New Mexico State wasn't out of character for Freeze. He's good for at least 2 losses a year that he has no business losing, but he'll get up for one game that he shouldn't be in.

He brought liberty in last year and beat us then proceeded to lose his last 4 games.
But he had sewn up the auburn job with that win and appeared to just check out.

quote:Five actually. Four in the regular season and then our first bowl game loss. All this after starting 8-0 and winning our first SEC game (sorry baw). We imploded after word go out that CHF was leaving. People do not realize how much we were in a tailspin after that all unfolded. Only makes it that much sweeter when you see what we have accomplished this year. So thankful for Coach Chadwell.

This list is bogus. Anyone can see Vandy is too high.

The Missouri NIL law will help keep in state kids home, hopefully make a positive impact on recruiting to Mizzou

I didn't say a thing about what narrative you are arguing against.
Just having fun with an Auburn fan who wanted to compare wins but not losses.
Your point about close losses not counting is wrong. Voters take account of how good or bad wins and losses look in rankings.

Alabama is still Alabama. UGAs in better shape than they’ve ever been but still a long way from proving their success is more than fleeting. LSU is in good shape with Kelly providing stability….and may be in a position to go on a several year tear. Texas is to be determined. Navigating a SEC schedule is a daunting task. Tennessee is on the right track but has a lot of work to do to be prominent again. Ole Miss may be in as good shape as they have been ever. Mizery is headed in the right direction. UK is as good as they can get. Auburn may be on the right track. Everybody else is a work in progress. Conference is in good shape.

Bumping as the dynamics have changed considerably in the last week.
