I’d love to hear your dipshit opinion on how we weren’t one of the best defenses.
I still have the graphic I used before the SECCG to show why Georgia's defense was wildly overrated.
Summary: You played shite offenses that made your defense look better than it really was!

We shut down the LSU run game.
Burrow just burrowed us.
Burrow just burrowed us.

Haha yes, giving up 2 rushing touchdowns on the season playing against 9 teams that went to bowl games means our defense is overrated. Incredible logic. The best QB to ever play torched us (And everyone he played) and this genius analysis labels us overrated. Haha you are a moron.

How the hell did Lynn Bowden have more passing yards than two guys

Relax James, I’m just yanking your chain!
Georgia’s defense was solid.
Reminded me of the Texas defense.

Key losses from last season:
Defense:
DE: Darrell Taylor
LB: Daniel Bituli
S: Nigel Warrior
Offense:
WR: Jauan Jennings
WR: Marquez Callaway
Staff:
Year 3 for Pruitt and year 2 for both coordinators Ansley & Chaney
-Ranking each unit with (better) or (worse) in parentheses when being compared to that same position last year:
Elite:
Offensive Line (Better) -- Potential to be one of the best units in the country. SR Guard Trey Smith was first team all SEC in 2019 and is a projected 1st rd pick in the upcoming draft. Offensive tackles Wanya Morris & Darnell Wright were both chosen as first team all freshman SEC. 6th year RS SR Brandon Kennedy at Center and transfer JR Cade Mays (pending eligibility) round out the starting 5. Several quality back ups in Calbert, Carvin and Johnson.
Very good:
Secondary (Better) -- Losing Warrior at S, but returning juniors Thompson and Taylor at CB as well as SR Shawn Shawnburger @ Nickel. PFF has shamburger graded out as the top returning nickel back in the conference. McCullough has one S position locked down with several others fighting for Warrior's old spot.
Special Teams (Push) -- SR Brent Cimaglia was recently named to the Lou Groza award watch list and is a Top 3 place kicker in the conf. He's been Mr. Consistent for us.
Good:
Defensive line (Push) -- Probably the largest & deepest we've been on the DL in a decade, but who replaces D. Taylor off the edge is one of the biggest questions going into the season. Deep at DT. Likely better against the run than last season, but worse at getting pressure on the QB off the edge.
Linebackers (Push) -- Henry T (Freshman all American last season) is a fan favorite & poised to become one of the best linebackers we've had in a long time, but there are question marks on whose going to replace Bituli alongside him in the middle. Q. Couch & Jeremy Banks look like the next guys up.
Running back (Better) -- Chandler & Gray should make a nice 1-2 punch. True freshman Eric Gray really came on at the end of last season and looks like the best back on the roster. This unit should see a boost in production based off Gray's added athleticism & who they'll be running behind.
Needs work:
Wide Receiver (Worse) -- Huge losses in Jennings and Callaway's departures. Jennings was the heart and soul of the team. SR Josh Palmer looks to lock down the #1 spot this season, but there are big question marks after him. Talent is there, but experience is lacking.
Tight End (Worse) -- Lost Woods Anderson to the NFL last season as an UDFA and this year's #1 TE, Austin Pope, is out for the year recovering from an injury. We'll be forced to rely on some younger guys to step in. Like WR, there's some talent here but experience is minimal. Likely a year or two away from being able to call this a strength.
QB (Push) -- Between JG & Brian Maurer right now. Harrison Bailey is the future, but word is he isn't ready to step in on day 1 as a true freshman and take the reigns. My guess is it's JG with a short leash to start with Maurer right on his heels. JG is heading into his SR season and year 2 under Chaney but optimism is low. I'd expect to see Maurer sooner rather than later if he can stay healthy.

6 WR - Blaylock's injury drops them below the RBs, but the overall talent on this unit is better. Pickens is All-American caliber, and this may be the most talented class of freshmen WRs ever at UGA. There's elite speed, toughness, and great potential; but will that translate to production?
Don't throw in the towel on Kearis Jackson,D Rob and Tommy Bush. All talented who battled injuries last year.WR is a pretty difficult position for Freshman to make an immediate impact.

Trask numbers were outstanding despite getting pressured every time he dropped back. No reason to believe he will not be even better this year.
I’m hoping that Mullen has corrected Trask’s main weakness which is not being aware of pressure from his blind side. Fix that and he’s good to go.

This will be key.
It be nice if he got better protection from his blind side as well though. Our offense can take the next step, but it only happens with the Oline improving like it did in 2018. We shall see.

LB - Britt, Pappoe, McClain legit
DB - McCreary, Tutt, Smoke, Sherwood is a good experienced starting group
DL - Talent there even with losses we had last year.
QB - Bo will be better, but no depth
WR - Seth Williams, Stove, Scwartz
RB- We have lots of young talent with Tank et.al
OL - Complete rebuild but talent there. C only returning starter.
TE - Who knows but Schenker has really good hands. Morris seems to have shifted the focus here.

Mine was close to this. I had OL and LB switched and DB and TE switched.

WR: Marquez Callaway
Vols, I see that Marquez is on the Saints preseason roster. Do yall think he has has a good shot at making it on the final roster? Maybe even some playing time this year?

I'm not sure what your WR situation looks like outside of M. Thomas, but Callaway is a solid ST returner and has great hands with length to help him high point the ball over most DBs. I think he's got a good shot to make it, but I wouldn't put high expectations on him in year 1. He'll need some development, but he's a guy down the road that could provide minutes for you guys

This LSU fan's personal opinion is UF gave LSU it's toughest game last year and it was because of Trask. Gators matched LSU point for point for 3+ quarters. They were the only team all season to have a shot in fourth quarter of tying the tigers. It will be something else in the swamp this year. It usually is though.

That's more than fair.
UGA struggled offensively every time Fromm's go-to WR got hurt. Wims in 2017. Holloman in 2018. Cager in 2019. We were too 1 dimensional in the passing game and it didnt take a world beater to give us trouble.
Defensively, we were solid last season. We contained LSU except for all of those Burrow highlight plays (he had a lot of them).
