How in gods green earth do you rank our TE’s dead last when we just pulled the highest rated TE in the history of history along with another top 10 TE plus albeit inexperienced that’s just dumb. I’m way more concerned about o-line and even running back then tight end.

I’m hoping that Mullen has corrected Trask’s main weakness which is not being aware of pressure from his blind side. Fix that and he’s good to go.

I thought the same, too. I was watching highlights yesterday and saw a couple of times where we seemed to "sneak" up on him from behind. I think he is very solid. Florida will be good to go at QB.

No one wants Florida to do well, except Gators.

LB - Britt, Pappoe, McClain legit

DB - McCreary, Tutt, Smoke, Sherwood is a good experienced starting group

DL - Talent there even with losses we had last year.

QB - Bo will be better, but no depth

WR - Seth Williams, Stove, Scwartz

RB- We have lots of young talent with Tank et.al

OL - Complete rebuild but talent there. C only returning starter.

TE - Who knows but Schenker has really good hands. Morris seems to have shifted the focus here.

Honest question and not meaning to troll....

Gus has said several times that he was not going to call plays and then ends up doing it anyway. What do you believe the chances are that he steps back and lets Morris take the reins?

UGA was easily one of the top Ds in the nation.

This LSU fan's personal opinion is UF gave LSU it's toughest game last year and it was because of Trask. Gators matched LSU point for point for 3+ quarters. They were the only team all season to have a shot in fourth quarter of tying the tigers. It will be something else in the swamp this year. It usually is though.

I agree with this. (Most of it anyway. I thought Auburn played LSU very well, too) I don't understand the Trask hate. He seems very solid and capable to me. I don't think he is great by any measure, but very good.

Trask has more physical tools and higher upside.

Than Fromm?

Agree to disagree

Kid si 6'5 230+ and at least a step quicker. Arms are comparable, but the physicality for Trask is objectively better.

If you mean that 230 pounds is more physical to run the ball and not get hurt... sure.

But 230 pounds doesnt make him a more physically gifted passer.

If he doesn't turn it over to Morris he will lose all credibility in the coaching ranks, and lose his team. Gus is going to have to live or die with that. I don't think we're going to be very good offensively, at least early, no matter who calls plays, because of our O-Line. Way too many green guys in the 2-deep.

You are about right but at TE LSU has one of highest rated TE recruits in history.

Thanks. I was just wondering mainly. I remember Les Miles kept saying he was going to shake up the offense at LSU but never did. S, I was wondering about what you thought about Gus doing it.

Read the thread

It says Units

We have what, two scholarship tight ends? And both of them are freshman.

It doesn't really matter if he's the highest rated Tight End of all time, he's still just a freshman and hasn't started a single college game ever.

Offensive line will be fine, all of our starters played a shite ton the past 2 years and did great when they did.

A+
RB'S N.Harris and loads of young talent
OL. Leatherwood & CO. tried and proven
WR'S Smith and Waddell plus 5*'s in tow
A
LB'S D. Moses & McMillon-Harris and studs everywhere!
A-
S's Really good guys needed more help from the DL last year. Should excell in 2020.
CB'S P. Surtain leads a talented bunch
should become a very good group.
B+
DL LaBryan Ray is back to anchor a young but talented group.
B
ST'S Return game will pay big dividends
But kickoffs need to improve.
QB'S could be higher but we don't have a lot to go on. M.Jones is a J. Coker like player and Young comes with much Ballyhoo as tbe #1player in the 2019 class
B-
Coaching has upgraded and should become the championship level Bama fans are used to.
C+
TE'S. Serviceable but not great.
C
LS because it's the long snapper
C-
P He's alright at times.
D+
0
D-

K. They've made more than they miss.

I mean he's 6'5 230 and a better athlete. That qualifies as more physically gifted. Don't go out of your way to find reasons to disagree about minutia.
