I don't rank the JFF pass in even top 5 plays he made all year since it was a pretty easy pass
If you take everything that happened before it out of the equation, sure. But considering he had to spin away from the rush (so closely that the announcers thought he was down), catch the bobble, roll out, spin around, find the open receiver, and have enough composure to deliver it accurately, that was insanely impressive.

10x better catch than that Landry slop^^^
Also, the TJ Yeldon screen catch and run was the best play of the year. No question.
Carry on.

1-2-3
Clowney's was a single player totally busting a play, you have to give teammates some credit for the others.

I know Landry's 1 handed catch was great, but I still think this one was better.

Literally having to jump and dive to catch the ball between 2 defenders.

Exaggerate much? Both are great catches. You can't in any way say either is that much better than the other

I agree. Heck it wasn't the best play he made in that one game. I liked the early stiffarm run and a couple of Swope passes better. It got a lot of attention because it was so crazy looking and also for Verne's histrionics. That one play (along with the win, of course) may also have won him the Heisman, though, so I'm not complaining.
To me Clowney's play was easily #1.

The Clowney hit is #1 IMO. Followed closely by Landry's catch.

1. Landry
2. Manziel
3. Clowney
Here is why: Landry's catch was the only one of the 3 where the opposing team did what they were supposed to do. For Manziel, Vinnie Sunseri thought it was gonna be a sack or fumble and he rushed in and blew his coverage and left swope wide open for an easy catch. For Clowney, nobody laid a hand on him and he ran undeterred full speed into a little bitty 4th string running back on a weak michigan team. But, Landry was pretty well covered on that catch. The safety was in pretty good position and Landry had to jump, spin and locate the ball in traffic.

Landey's catch required the most athleticism and Manziel's required a lot of awareness. Clowney's hit, while awesome, didnt require nearly the skill to pull off. Michigan just forgot to block the best defensive player in the game.
