The state of Florida has no idea where law enforcement officers are needed in 2 days along a coastline that is expected to be demolished, and you want them committed to protecting a football game?

So why are 2 other games being played on Sunday? Why can't Florida agree to do the same?

No neutral site arena offered anything. The monetary and logistical loss was never offered. Why would a business ask to lose money by scrounging together law enforcement and personnel for a game they have no way of recouping the money?

Just because you make up bullshite doesn't mean it's the truth. LSU offered to bend over backwards to make this game happen. The SEC would've footed the bill if nothing else, just like you idiots keep saying they'll foot the bill for LSU swapping the S. Alabama game.

Florida would've lost nothing they aren't going to already lose by cancelling this game....except the game of course.

No one is clamoring for an extra home game.

That is a lie.

LSU just wants to play the game. They'll play at Florida. They just won't give up a home game to do so.

Everybody knew this on Tuesday you dimwit. Even your AD. LSU fans were talking about it all while idiotic UF fans were saying "it'll be 10% chance rain, lol we got this".

All of a sudden now it's some new breaking info and the deciding factor?

Kudos, OP. The hysterical purple and yellow horde is out of their minds.

The truth must be spoken.

Do you know the definition of Conspiracy? There is plenty of sources out there that LSU offered UF.

Yet Florida absolutely refused to move the game out of Florida. Seems like it's their fault.

Once again, the floods already happened when the game was rescheduled. UF doesn't even know what Gainesville will look like 24 hours from now.

And they dragged their feet for 2 days being "confident" that the game would happen Saturday instead of exploring alternative arrangements when they knew that a hurricane would be impacting the state.

I'm fairly sure LSU would have played in a neutral site but Florida was confident that they could play Saturday. If Florida hadn't been so unreasonable, something could have possibly been arranged but it became impossible with Florida dragging their feet.

Katrina hit almost 2 weeks beforehand, where everyone knew what had happened. This storm hasn't even come on shore. Rita was 2 weeks after the game was even played, so frick off with that narrative.

what an asinine argument. So cancelling the game because you don't know the outcome is better than moving the game because you don't know the outcome?

Yes, in a state where the needs of law enforcement and first responders are still not known, based on your bullshite OP.

Soooo why not take the Monday as a current "option"? If it does get bad and it can't be played then, cross that bridge then. No, that's not what they did. They saw this as their out on a loss and took it.

There are 3 games this weekend in a state this in a declared state of emergency. All requiring resources from the state. Care to comment on why a tentative Sunday or Monday game could not have been offered with a wait and see stance?
