Right now most models say La but the latest Euro is saying Ms/Bama. Everyone needs to stay glued to a television tomorrow. Stay safe.

Eh, not terribly concerned. I live in South Bama now and it looks like it's coming here. I'm from a coastal Parish in LA and have been through quite a few hurricanes over the years...we should be okay.
The concern for me will be whether it hits east or west of us...we don't want any damn tornadoes here...this state has plenty of those.
Looking on the bright side....we have football next weekend.

Hurricanes didn't concern me before Katrina and still don't.

Edited for being defensive.
Housing 30 family members, 8 dogs, and a cat for over a month, can tend to make someone a little defensive

Looks like here on the East Coast of FL were going to dodge it this go around. Were under a TS Watch, but Im not so sure were going to get as much rain as they are calling for as the storm continues to move to west.

I have better things to do with my time than watch the weather on tv. It's not like we've never had a hurricane before. Go about your life, and if it's imminent, go somewhere else.

Perhaps losing everything you've ever owned, not knowing if you'll even be able to go back home and having to fight everyday for 2 years with insurance companies, contractors, govt, etc would change your mind. I wish that shite on no one.

Earthquakes be damned. I recall the year I spent in Savannah during Hurricane David. Ain't no fun. Hope it's a clear September for all my friends in hurricane country.

Seriously, who didn't see this coming with a thread like this?
fricking never fails, there's always at least one a-hole.

Looks like the NE side will hit the Panhandle. That's some rough stuff. Seems like we've had quite a few opening football weeks with hurricanes.

Last time LSU had North Texas the opening week of the season there was a storm named Katrina in the Gulf.

Too many of you guys are biting on the weather channel.storm of the century hype. There has been very little action in the tropical sector lately and they are bored. This is a tropical storm, it might make landfall as a category one hurricane, that is zero comparison to Katrina which was weaken from category five when it made landfall.
Personally I'm hoping it takes a more westerly approach because I for one would love to get the rainfall and break the worst drought since the Dust bowl for my little chunk of the world.

Look, it's going to hit... somewhere in 'our' (as in SEC) territory. I think that's pretty well established and there's nothing we can do about that. Hell, there is a even a chance if it takes the farther westerly track that we could have flooding rains and tornadoes up here in Arkansas.
What we need to do instead of 'hoping it hits in your area, not mine' is to hope (and pray if you are inclined to do so) that it does not get stonger and moves fast.

I'm hoping everyone stays safe and no damage done for those in the path of Isaac. Although I'm from Missouri, I really really like the southeast region alot of you guys live in.
Most notably New Orleans. I just got back from vacation there for the third year in a row. I have a genuine love affair with that city.
Don't take anything for granted guys...be prepared. I will definitely be watching this all as it develops. Stay safe.
