UT is gonna let their new head coach try to win a national title for their biggest rival... just seems stupid.
i thought about this and actually love it. It will give our new head coach all kinds of national exposure. Now for bama, id just tell him to go on. Because he wont have his full attention on bama. He will be on the side telling recruits to come to tn.

They'll be talking about Pruitt and Tennessee during these games.

you mean when the Kiffin/Sark thing happened and you lost in the title game? Thats working out well? Odd
Kiffin didnt do double duty in the title game....we lost

Won the game Kiffin stayed on for and pulled double duty.
Looks like we are 3 for 3 when coordinators are pulling double duty.
Facts are not welcome on the rant

Yes, the last time we had a coordinator do double duty throughout the playoffs we won the national championship
We gave up 40 points and 550 yards of offense. I mean, are we really saying Kirby staying was clearly a big success?
I'm not saying it was because of the Georgia thing, but he and our D certainly didn't perform well.

Yeah, if I was an Alabama fan I think I'd just want him to go ahead and go.
Didn't I read you have a Co DC anyway?

difficulty of doing both
Probably not as difficult as the first game you've ever called being in the playoffs against the #1 team after having been on the job for 3 weeks.

yep, every recruit will be watching and will hear Pruitt's name 1000 times and UT will be mentioned 1000 times.

I don't like that we have experience with both of these potentially negative situations LOL

The last time a coordinator left before the game we lost

I'd argue Kirby's performance against Clemson was pretty bad.
But as Teague said, having a guy call his first game in the playoffs isn't a great option.

Ha, I know. Two great options.

You seem upset about this.

Not bothering with page 2 of this thread, but suffice it to say, people are missing this point. You can win in spite of someone remaining with the team...

Fulmer knows having him stay as a distraction outweighs the benefits of early signing perio
So you think Fulmer dictates his employment at Alabama? Lol
Posted on 12/7/17 at 10:53 am to StopRobot
why would I be upset? I think this is a great hire by UT and love seeing Fulmer come back almost 20 years after Albert Means just to stick it to Bama again.
Really good stuff.
Really good stuff.

I mean, yes. Fulmer holds all the cards for Pruitt. Pruitt's buyout can't be much, so if he really wanted, he could tell Pruitt to start coaching Tenner today.

Your post implied asa troll that Fulmer is dictating to Saban like he has to keep him. It's a mistake to leave him on staff.
