Pruitt has too many skeletons in his closet for trying to bang assistants in the athletic department for this to happen.

Lol!

“That’s assuming he has success at Tennessee”

These are things people say when they are paid to talk and have to say something

I assumed Ed Orgeron was the next Alabama coach because of the way they obsess over him.

Everyone says I'm crazy but I think Bama's next coach is Will Muschamp. We aren't going to hire some home run superstar. No star coach will want to follow Saban. Look at who Ohio State and Oklahoma had to hire after losing star coaches. Muschamp would be a solid hire. Great recruiter, hard worker, knows the SEC, and has extensive HC experience.

Meh. He's just Dabo 2.0 in terms of the media and Bammer fans looking at anyone with ties to Bama as being the next coach (kind of odd too since he's yet to prove himself). If he's successful at Tennessee, we'd likely lock him down the way Clemson has locked Dabo down. Besides, if Bama wanted him so much that they put up an insane offer then that means the program is in great shape and we can hire another good coach.

Well at least I'd get to say Germy Proot a lot.

You really think Fulmer wouldn't do exactly what he did with Barnes? Good Lord man. If Pruitt's any good he'll fight to keep him. And if Bama wants to pay an insane amount for him we can take that money.

If Proot turns out to be any good, and Bama even shows a hint of interest in him, that dumb Gump would crawl 300 Miles to Tuscaloosa

When have things ever worked out well for VOLS.

Even when we have success in a sport, our coach parlays that success into an unsuccessful attempt getting another job, leaving us paying a top 5 salary for a coach that can’t wait to frick off.

I mean if he wins 2 national titles maybe. Short of that I disagree.

I didn't realize you were a youngling. Those of us who remember the 90s and early aughts aren't so pessimistic. Doug Dickey and Joe Johnson ran UT like a well oiled machine. It's no surprise that tDecline began when Dickey retired.

Kiffin wasn't successful here despite the hype and the former AD openly admitted that he knew he'd take the USC job if it came open and did nothing to protect UT (he just wanted Fulmer gone). Barnes deserved to get paid.

Fulmer is in charge now.
