Auburn: 17-2 (5-1)
Current AP rank: #17
RPI: #8
SOS: #40
SEC Standing: #2

Last week we lost a close last seconds game on the road 76-71 to our biggest rival 13-6 (5-2) Alabama. Uncharacteristically bad FT shooting is to blame. Its what the committee calls a "quality" loss.

Followed that up last night with a convincing 79-65 win vs our other rival 12-6 (3-4) Georgia. Outscored them 53-25 in the second half.

Overall not a terrible week. Our record at 17-2 is still strong, and with Arizona State and Gonzaga both losing in front of us, I believe we should still rise despite the Bama loss.

Prediction: Auburn moves UP to #15

An even further prediction for the next week after that. If Auburn wins both games next week (@ Mizzou and vs LSU), and I think they do, then Auburn will break into the top 10.

What about y'alls favorite school?

I believe we’ve been 19-24 every week for almost 2 months so probably in that range.

ASU maybe, but no way we jump Gonzaga. Saint Mary's should be ranked tomorrow. I think Texas Tech should take a free fall, so we should jump them.

Possibly, but you know how the media feels about Auburn basketball. Plus that tool bag that doesn't have us ranked. I don't see anybody that should jump us, but who knows.

Yes. LSU is #1 in number of SEC losses over the last 3 years.

Good observation

Do you think you guys will be top 25 when y'all come to AU to get your revenge beat down in a month?
Y'all have a tough schedule in between now and then, but if y'all can get some upsets and be top 25 then the loss and our upcoming win will both look a lot better for our case for a #1 seed.

Here's y'alls schedule before y'all come to Auburn:

@ Ole Miss
#4 Oklahoma
Mizzou
@ Florida
@ Mississippi State
#21 Tennessee
LSU
@ #18 Kentucky
@ #17 Auburn

Including the Auburn game Id say you lose 4 of those games minimum, likely 5 of them, but it wouldn't be shocking if it was more.

Anyone trying to guess the number of W or Ls for Bama is nuts. They could go Ofor or run the table. There is no team they can't beat ,or lose to.

I think Bama at their best is easily a top 25 team. The problem is whether or not they put out their best each game

Although it should be higher considering our amount of quality wins
