To be fair, at least the rebel black bears are a unique mascot. Can't say the same for our schools.

Over the last few years, their mascots have been a plantation slave owner, a black bear with a Houston Nutt straw hat, and a walking lizard. Soon it will be something else.

I am so tired of hearing “He said the N word” every time a person of color does something aggressive.
I have not heard the N word spoken by a white person in 20 years. I heard it from grandparent age people in the 70-80’s but society has moved past it.
