I'm just waiting for quips about whether Bo's son will be there to see his dad play in person

What was that all about? Just a ridiculous rumor that got out of hand?

All of that seems close to me but I'm not sure why we're convinced Nix, who takes relatively good care of the football, is likely to throw 2+ picks.

He's only done it 4 times (2 or more) in 34 games and one of those was his first game as a true freshman.
I believe it was either 2 INT or less than 300 yards. It would seem that I chose poorly. Doh!

I assume that's the case. I've never seen any evidence otherwise.

Seeing Pat up there in the stands in highlighter yellow and green listening to whoever does Oregon games on his little radio is going to be very, very strange.

Lanning knows Kirby’s Defense inside and out, they will try and exploit what he sees as a weakness. Bo might have a good game, but does he have the line to hold up against that rush? When he’s running around trying to make plays he more often than not makes mistakes..

Honestly I put it more in the camp of LSU fans and corndogs than a rumor that got out of hand

I don't think anyone actually believed it, just a running joke

Do you need reminding that this is a prediction thread?

Sure Bo is a mobile QB, but behind a Pac12 line. He'll be lucky to last 3 quarters, let alone go positive on yards.

Why do you care? He's playing for Oregon.

I'm thinking Lanning will have Dillingham in attack mode early on in the game and Nix w/better oline & WRs than he had a AU and they will score early. Then things will settle down, UGA will take care of business rendering Nix ineffective in the second half as UGA runs the ball, eats clock and wins.

UGA's secondary will be very green in this game so I can't argue too much with the idea that Oregon might have some passing success. But they won't be able to run consistently at any point.

I will say that I actually think that UGA will match or surpass whatever Oregon does on offense. I think UGA will be doing some ridiculous aggressive stuff from heavy (2-3 TE) sets. UGA's offense this year will be strange for others to watch... but you're going to see UGA passing deep out of 2 TE sets with a 3rd TE as a FB... where they'll pound the ball if you try to play DB's on the TE's and will pass the ball over your head if you try to guard the TE's with LB's.

UGA's offense won't be much like anyone else has this year, due to their ridiculous personnel at TE. Those heavy sets being passing formations will be a regular part of the UGA attack and will be successful.

Passing: 24/43 - 213 Yds - 1 TD/1 INT
Rushing: 11 carries, 11 Yds, 0 TD, 1 Spike/Fumble lost

Took his career averages vs. UGA and rounded to the nearest whole number, with the exception of the passing TD. Nix has only had one passing TD vs UGA and that was his Freshman year when Kenny Dillingham (Current Oregon QB coach/OC) was Nix's QB Coach/OC at Auburn.

Our 2019 line has 4 starters in the NFL right now. This group is going into their third year playing together and they’re on every top 5 or 10 list. You really think it will be worse than Auburn?

They think whatever fits their narrative the best in the moment.

Auburn has a shite OL, and did the whole time that Nix was here. They have no problem admitting our OL is shite when talking about it in a vacuum. They ignore how bad the OL was for Nix when they want to degrade Nix as a player. And here they doubly ignore that fact bc they need to push their homer SEC superiority myth

We lost Kendrick and Cine off the 2021 national championship game.
In our dime, we return our 2 safeties, corner, and nickel defenders.

It gets overstated how green we are in the secondary.

I understand that the way to attack UGA may be in the secondary. But that is because we control the line of scrimmage. So long as we control the line, the secondary will always be the target.
