We’re in if BYU and Bama loses. Well jump Miami Sunday.
no you wont, last year they set the precedent that they wont punish teams for making their conference titles games and losing. Bama is 100% in, win or lose

Longhorns have branding. If anyone will be let in with three losses it's them.

Actually, I think ND is out either way. BUY wins ND misses the cut but if BYU loses Miami would move up a spot right behind ND and now, they would be in the same pod with head-to-head for both of them. The other interesting is IF Alabama wins how far do we move up and what team misses out on having a home field first round.
Yup. ND is done for. We jumped Vandy due to the H2H record. It would only make sense it happens again when BYU is out of the way.

If Jawja pulls of the victory over Bammer in SECCG, Bama's out too.

Told you dumbasses Texas was jumping Vandy
This is the most asinine part of this poll. 3 losses including one against an atrocious UF team that finished 4-8 is absurd.
Vandy has two losses to top 15 teams on the road in the meantime, but only tOSU counts as a good loss.
The reality is that UT shows one of the many things wrong with the CFP. It’s not about who earned the right to be there, it’s about money for the broadcasters and that is bullshite.

What’s with the double standard between Vandy and Alabama? Vandy remains barely in the top 15 after a solid win over a ranked TN team? But Alabama needing the refs hope to beat Auburn moves them up a spot?
Cry me a river about the Refs Bro…not accurate and wouldn’t matter if it was…and by the way your point about Vandy beating Tennessee??? Seriously? Bama not only beat Tennessee, Bama beat Vandy as well. Did you honestly try to peddle the arguments you did?

You have no shot, I figured out what they are doing, last year SMU was not penalized for losing, got in over 3 SEC Teams. They on ly pushed Texas up so id Bama Loses they CANNOT fall behind Texas a team who did not play that extra game. The moved Bana up so if the lose they only will drop 2 places max. Meaning Notre Dame moves BACK UP (Wink, wink) and now Miami is not close enough to jump them automatically. And the same thing will happen of UGA loses, they will but then just behind Notre Dame, so Miami can not jump Notre Dame. Their will be no ACC school that gets in if Va. loses, and they may not get in with a win (not sure how that works) I head someone say the ACC might not get a team in.
If BYU loses, they put an ACC school in, if not they will be watching from home. If Texas had any shot they had to jump Miami this week. They are not going to punish the #1 SEC seed for playing an extra game while OU, Ole Miss etc. do nit have to play, if they did, next year a 10-2 team might just say, we turn down the SEC Champ. game.
The truth is OU is not a good team, Ohio State would beat them 31-0, they were given the Auburn game, had ONE DRIVE for 3 points against Bama, why the Committee has then anywhere near the top 12 befuddles me. I am not a hater, just a truth tells. 7-8 years ago, I stated we would be soft just like OU in a few years once once we stated running that Shotgun BS, and now we cant run te ball. I want to se the Pro Set come back.
Pretty sure the playoff teams are set. If BYU wins they may jump Tulane over all the ACC schools, if they loose, then Tulane and the ACC will get in, but Texas has no shot. Notre Dame us in, if Bama loses the will slide 1 or 2 spots and Miami will be 12th, Notre Dame will be 8th or 9th. If Bama wins Notre Dame will jump UGA IF they need to in order to stay in front of Bana,
Pssttt, to prove this is all the Committee agenda IF the had not put Notre Dame over Bama in the very first CFB Playoff release, then Miami would have had to of been ahead of them, then its hard to have ND jump Miami later on. Now they have made the same move for Bama, They will not drop out unless they lose by 25-30. Cant punish a team fir playing an extra game. You can punish a team for losing 42-14

They pushed Texas up, and Vandy is next, to protect Bama from all those 2 loss teams IF they lose. OHHH, Bama and Texas have 3 loses, Bama played and extra game and a harder schedule, AND Bama Beat Vandy. Unless Bama was waxed they are not dropping out. They set that precedent last year with SMU.

Yeah, this SECCG kinda meaningless when Georgia plays Alabama. There are three SEC teams nationally ranked ahead of Alabama. Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Oklahoma.

The conferences need to do a better job with tiebreakers to make sure their best teams actually get into the conference championship game. The acc is even worse- 7-5 Duke is playing for the conference title while their best team, Miami, is sitting at home.

We’re ahead of Ole Miss and Texas A&M because Alabama played significantly harder in conference schedules than them and finished with the same conference record.
We’re ahead of Oklahoma because we played similar conference schedules and finished with 1 conference loss to their 2.
We’re actually also ahead of Georgia because we finished with the same conference record, beat them in their stadium and had a harder in conference schedule than them.
Not rocket science.

Texas loses to Florida and gets crushed by Georgia, but the azz-kissing National media puts them above Vandy. They get the same fawning treatment Notre Dame gets.
Remember this........in sports.........the larger the fan bases the more calls they get and more preferential treatment they get.

I don't think this would happen, but what if Alabama got blown out by Georgia? And I mean really blown out, like by more than three scores.
In that scenario, would Alabama be left out?
More interested in the hypothetical, because the reality is that won't happen.
