texas suffers from the disease of institutionalized arrogance. Everything else is a mere symptom.
Some of the symptoms:
1. We're Texas. We're the Joneses.
2. A&M was too much texas' inferior to ever dare to defy them and not go to the Pac-10. A&M is "on the clock" (actual dodds quote) and better get on board with the pac-10 deal or get left behind....and we won't play them in football or any other sport ever again. They need us way more than we need them.
3. A&M is far too inferior to really be attractive to the nation's top conference. A&M is only a pawn Slive was using to get the REAL target, The University. A&M has no stand alone offer.
4. A&M has no fans. The SEC with A&M commands a "sliver" of east Texas viewers.
5. Aggies will NEVER be the top dog in Texas.
There are countless other examples of symptoms of the rotting disease, but you get the idea.
The head (dodds) leads the snake, but that attitude has trickled down to the lowest common denominator of toothless, trailer park, sidewalk, t-shirt fans. It will take a long time after dodds is gone to adjust that attitude. One of the first steps is admit that A&M got the better of them by moving to the SEC. Another is to admit that A&M is a huge (if not the biggest) public institution in one of the largest states in America. A&M is not the 8,000 - 10,000 student, all-male military college (they still can't seem to comprehend this one). One step that may also help is to admit that A&M doesn't need texas.....AT ALL.
Start down that long path to wellness and texas may have a shot to return to former glory, but the stage is no longer theirs to hoard, thanks to their disease.

Why the frick did you assholes take it so long? Seriously, who give a frick about Mizzou? Aggy just needs something to make them feel better, and nothing makes an aggy feel better than something negative about the State's best university.
For the record, I want DD gone yesterday. His days are numbered and it can't come soon enough.
As for Perry and his "power". UT doesn't want to water down its degree program with glorified correspondence courses just so that Perry's buddies can profit from it. A&M is fine it with. Texas, on the other hand, has higher standards than A&M and wants no part of an educational system pushed by the Moron from Ni**erhead Ranch, a person who could barely graduate from A&M when it was a 3rd rate school.

Alden and our chancellor Deaton have been classy as frick the entire time. And no, t-sip,that's not cuz we "know our place and know not to talk back" or some such delusional Schlongwhore bullshite. It's called being an adult and conducting yourself professionally. Not engaging children in petty and pointless verbal spats. Boren from OU and Dodds both have miles to go before learning that, and that more than anything is why your conference fell the frick apart and why you are spending money on flights to West frickin' Virginia.
