We aren’t southern and most Missourians don’t pretend to be

Some parts of Missouri are in the south but we absolutely are not a southern state

Oklahoma thinks they're "midwestern"?!

If you look at the link... they claim Wyoming thinks they're midwestern too.

They have Oklahoma identifying 66% midwestern. I'd say Oklahoma is more like 66% southern.... and the rest of the people identify as midwestern/southwestern (texas style)/ great plains.

It's probably a good thing that they "self-identify" as Midwestern, considering they are a Midwestern state.

At least they admit it. If 95% of the population of Georgia identified as Northern because they consider themselves too educated and prim and proper to be Southerners, that doesn't mean they are really Northerners like they imagine themselves to be.

Good thing someone did a study with actual methodology instead of just guessing so we know you're wrong

Missouri is a border state. They have a star on the battle flag. Everything south of the St. Louis/KC line is more southern than not. Everything above the line is increasingly midwestern,

Also, the great plains states (OK though ND) are their own region. Not midwestern and not mountain west.

Proud to be a Midwesterner.

As such, we are superior intellectually, and totally conned the fools of the old guard SEC out of millions in cash. Not sure what eligibility requirement the douchebag OP thinks is required for membership.

Side note...I hate grits, but do love fried chicken so I guess I'm a little conflicted. I also enjoy traveling to the SEC venues as compared to the landfill of kansas.

You made a thread recently saying we are southern because we’re fat like the rest of them are.

False. You have to get to at least Joplin or Poplar Bluff before you start talking about it

The Mason-Dixon Line, if it extended west, would run directly through Hannibal, Missouri. The vast majority of the state is south of that.

Missouri had Senators and Representatives in the Confederate Congress.

The Civil War in Missouri (and it is the only state where it was the definition of a civil war) started long before Fort Sumter and lasted long after Appomattox. Missouri Bushwhackers did not tuck tail and quit like the rest of you pussies.

Missouri has a star on the confederate flag that’s gotta count for something.
