The CFP is waiting

That is definitely the most likely outcome here.

What did LSU do that is ban worthy? A court of law ruled players eligible. 90% of the SEC schools are playing players that are on paper, not eligible. Some judge somehwhere ruled them eligible. Zero difference in them and LSU.

so CFP committee is saying, TROs do not matter and any school that plays a player that the NCAA deems ineligible is not eligible to be in the CFP???
if so....LSU accepts the terms. Someone get on the phone with OM and let them know their 2021 grad QB that was deemed ineligible will cost them CFP if he plays

btw I do think this is the way it happens. I dont think LSU plays these kids until everything is clear. But if LSU wins SEC, CFP keeps them out....will be huge lawsuits
if LSU doesnt win SEC...they will just say they are not good enough

No, I’ve heard from a guy who would know LSU is shutting down - football program, school, system, gone. Presser at 430. Trust me.

For what? Playing ineligible players. Well, every team playing a player on an injunction is now banned. They’re all ineligible.
Playing former “pros”? Well, Texas, Oklahoma, USC, Arkansas and Missouri can join in on the fun. Not to mention countless other programs around the country.
Gonna be an awfully thin field this season.

Actually, it upheld an injunction. This is not a final ruling. There is every chance this will be overturned, and it is amazing that LSU might actually be tempted to play with fire and play these guys.
They have every legal right to do that now, but they also face the possibility of harsh legal implications down the line if they do.
When that happens, I don't want to see all the LSU tears, but I know I will. They really are that reckless. Or clueless.

Wrong. The whole point of getting an injunction is to prevent retroactive penalties.

Nobody cares about court rulings. The American people don’t want these players on the field, and I have no idea what’s actually motivating the CFP. Either way, LSU’s getting an asterisk next to their name. It’s a bad look — win or lose, you just look weak.

Michigan just won a title after getting caught cheating in the middle of the season.
No one caresZ

I don’t know if the CFP really factors, but yeah I can’t imagine there isn’t some net negative by LSU just gleefully saying they want to deepen the corruption of the game and refusing to back down on that point. Not sure that bill realistically comes due though.

Jokes on you fool.
They aren’t making the playoff

So dramatic. Kiffin in the playoffs would cause record numbers of hate watching viewership. Money is king.

In fairness, you are naming teams that you suspect will submit names of former NFL players on their 105 man roster. Then, it will depend on how many actually play said players.
I suspect a few teams will submit some names of former NFL players on their roster, but then wait until the dust settles to play them. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. But teams that submit those names and play some of those players should never complain about NIL or the portal again, or how the college game is ruined.
