Meh, we lost for bigger reasons than that. I tend to look at the loss as a blessing that we'll need for something later -- kind of like how the FSU loss got us this far.

What about the missed facemask that would have led to an OU TD?

Some notes I ran into:

They’re not allowed to touch the snapper when they do that. Buddy used the snapper’s back to launch himself.

Bama is soft and it’s now reflected in their fans, all that Saban built and it crumbled in two seasons

Line of scrimmage was the 23 and he was hit at the 17-1/2 or 18.

Okay, but where was the second shooter, on the grassy knoll or the overpass?

The more they lose the more insufferable they become. But stand tall, once the Gumps start losing more than 4 games a year they ALL vanish somehow. Like a Christmas miracle

Alabama having seasons like this is about as frequent as Auburn having a good season.

Horton was hit as he was running across which led to the pick 6. Call the Attorneys. Bama never gets the calls

You are correct, I mentioned it in the game thread. I went back and looked as I was wondering why a receiver wasn't there to even make an attempt on the ball.

Turns out it was because he got the shite knocked out of him while the ball was in the air preventing him from finishing his route.

It seemed to be something Oklahoma was planning to do on purpose. They did the same thing again on the other interception, however that time it was called.

The thing that has me curious is 3 breaks to the receiver at the snap and just before Ty gives him a look. Safeties don't do that... unless they know the play.

We run those dagger type routes commonly and they have been very successful for us, so they were probably expecting them.

Just hit the guy as he's breaking across and suddenly the deeper players you are breaking in front of have a clear shot at the ball since there is no player there.

Not interference but if the ball was actually thrown to the receiver, #3 gets a pick six instead
I mean, it is either interference or holding, take your pick. He both crashes into Horton taking him off his route and wraps Hortons arms so he can't reach for the ball. That's at least a 10 point swing in a 2 point game as we were in field goal range after the penalty even for our terrible kicker

The key here is Oklahoma scouting every aspect of the game. Bama snapper had a habit of snapping the ball and staying in that position prior to coming up to block. They knew they could get this ball and they did
Why does it matter if the snapper stays low if the rule is you have to jump through a gap and can’t go over the snapper?
