But I thought the interest by UofL and/or Pearl was just made up by UK and Alabama fans? Why would he need an extension for that?

He's getting an extension because he's got Auburn basketball ranked #1 and a heavy favorite to win the SEC again. Not to mention he's going to put 3 more guys in the NBA this summer.

Some people like to build sth instead of just being the next guy. Would you rather be the CEO of IBM, Disney, etc or the founder of Tesla / SpaceX, Netflix, etc?

I like your synopsis, but the CEO gig is more attractive to me, IF the other entails bringing an old, never before elite program to guaranteed success....and I'm going on 62 years old...but that's just me!

Pearl is as important to AU as saban is to UA

Pearl is as important to AU as Kirby is to UGA

all have built their programs to a level where the fanbase is in a feeding frenzy.

Sorry you have a hard time grasping shite

Someone said "all in". It had to be done.

There was no "fambly" mentioned, otherwise it would've happened earlier.

I think there is definite interest in Louisville for Pearl. Not saying he'll leave though.

The CEO gig would be for lazy, political people who live off the laurels of others with limited knowledge about the company they manage. More than likely a yes man for greedy stockholders.

It's obvious where you rank in your company's pecking order.

The usual suspects would find an 11 year old, played out joke funny.

Anybody who doesn't is a damn fool! He's not from the area. He's a NE guy with Milwaukee and Southern Indiana ties. "Louisville basketball" probably means a ton more to him than to the cow-shite kicking ole boys in Lee Co., Alabama!
It'll be an interesting next few days for the Auburn faithful!

I don’t like going here not a boastful person but…
Older than you, retired comfortably and yes worked for a Fortune 500 company and reached a high level as well as worked for privately held.
I simply made a statement based on experience no matter what level one will achieve.
You once again want to be a funny, smart arse and demeaning with your response to others and the guy with the last word.

Really? Seems he has spent more time in the SEC than he spent in Indiana or Milwaukee.

The irony from the barn and Pearl.

The barn isn't somehow waiting on a top 3 recruiting class with two 5 stars. Wonder who is, and how he's getting so many of those guys. Considering he's shitting the bed as coach, and hasn't proven anything. Kinda weird that he's recruiting so well.
