Vandy whistler's just booked a red-eye to red stick.

Manieri is and always has been a whiny little bitch

Alex, give me “Things that bitches say after getting swept” for 1000

I don't know what is the bigger surprise here: Maineiri being awake in the dugout long enough to witness any of this or Tennessee having some baseball fans.

Classic PM. Willing to throw his players, other players, umpires, and fans under the bus but not his own piss poor coaching.
I guess you missed his comments after the game Sunday
quote:
"It was a tough weekend, obviously, and I really hurt for our kids" said LSU coach Paul Mainieri. "They played their hearts out the entire weekend and just came up short. We were just one at-bat or one pitch away from having a successful weekend. We're disappointed in not winning the games, but the kids played with tremendous effort and heart, and we're going to continue work as hard as we can and look forward to our next game."
quote:
“But at a critical moment in the game when we need to get this hit, we're having a strikeout when we need to put a ball in play. When we need to make a key pitch, we're missing our spot just a little bit. Or a decision we make is not quite working out for us.”
“I'm not going to give up,” Mainieri said. “I'm just not going to. It's not in my genes to give up. I'm going to keep working hard with the guys, and we're going to try to stay positive and get these kids to keep believing.
“What good does it do to give up? What good does it do to be down on them? What good does it do to throw in the towel? We're not going to do that. We're going to keep plugging away and believing something good will happen.”
quote:
“I know we have the players to be competitive,” Mainieri said, “And I know we're a little bit snake-bit right now. I just know it's a pitch, it's a play, it's an at-bat here and there. We obviously have the ability to hit the pitchers in this league.
quote:
“The cardinal rule of baseball is you don't walk the go-ahead run, but I really regret not doing it,” Mainieri said. “Sometimes, you've got to go against the book, especially when you're the visiting team. I feel like I made a bad decision there.”

Who is Paul Mainieri?
He’s affectionately referred to as pulmonary by the Tiger faithful.

If he is intimidated by Tennessee's baseball fans then LSU is in real trouble.

It’s hilarious because LSU baseball fans are NEVER rowdy and obnoxious to the opposing team. I mean NEVER!
LSU: play neck so we can tell our opponents to suck our tiger dick!
LSU baseball coach: I’m upset because Tennessee fans were mean and weren’t classy!
So damn soft. But so is LSU baseball currently

Good thing he didn’t coach in the 70’s when things were much less PC and getting the other team rattled was a fans only objective.

Sorry should have been whistlers' plural as there are 2 of them. And I don't know why they would have stopped. Vandy hasn't done anything to stop them.
Also everyone is piling on to PM here and I don't think it was out of line for him to say anything about the fans if they were over the top. Not sure what over the top is anymore though.

Did the Tennessee coach tell him to GTFOH?
Because if he didn't, he should have.

Paul is done. He needs to go. That’s a weak excuse!

Why would the Tennessee coach tell him that?

#LSU Paul Mainieri not mincing words about the Tigers trip to Tennessee - says fans were extremely nasty, a few calls by the umpires were very challenging and the Volunteers didn’t exactly handle some things in a classy manner.
That is why it is called a home field advantage.
