#LSU Paul Mainieri not mincing words about the Tigers trip to Tennessee - says fans were extremely nasty, a few calls by the umpires were very challenging and the Volunteers didn’t exactly handle some things in a classy manner.

Surprised he noticed anything while he was sleeping in the dugout

Whale whale whale

I notice OP is not disputing any of Pawl's assertions.

If all their fans are like Serraneaux, then I can see why.

Florida players and Paul Mainieri seem like they’d get along well together crying about fans

Classic PM. Willing to throw his players, other players, umpires, and fans under the bus but not his own piss poor coaching.

It is fine for a coach to publicly call out his team's fans on occassion. But not another team's fans or players. If there is a problem, then he should take it up with UT's ad, and if that doesn't work, the SEC. He probably just made his next trip there even worse by letting the UT fans know they got under his skin.

It's college baseball. Do you really think anybody at Tennessee really cares what Pawl said on a radio interview with local media?

They got the sweep. I'm sure they'll just chalk it up as sour grapes if they even are aware or care what he said.

Well, I never. It's all true. It was a breach of decorum so strong that in my shock I forgot to apply the grey poupon to my arugula/salmon finger sandwich.

All of you should be ashamed.

I do not which is why I said it was dumb of him to do that. If there is a problem he should got to UT's ad, and then the SEC. But since he didn't, there isn't a problem, just a sore loser being a bitch. I do think fans who were at the game will hear it and try even harder to make him cry again next time.

Judging by the reaction of Vol Twitter, I'd say there is a very good likelihood all the Vols baseball fans are gonna find out what Pawl had to say today.

The real question is whether Pawl will ever be back in Knoxville to hear them again. Perhaps in Hoover.

When a coach bitches about opposing fans, that fanbase should consider it a complement.

See: Dan Mullen being a bitch after losing at Kyle Field.

He should have coached his players better and won.
