When he only had a column for the Birmingham Post Herald he pissed everybody off.

That was when Coach Bryant was still alive.

Finebaum grew up a Memphis basketball and Alabama football fan. We was never a UT fan. He's said this numerous times.

I love that some say this as a jab to Finebaum. If anything, it's a reflection on the populace of Alabama. Nowhere else would knuckle draggers yelling about college football get a per capita audience huge enough to springboard him onto ESPN.

This.

Surprised people still haven't grasped this.

Agree 100%.

He's the Skip Bayless of SEC football.

If you listen to his show and are one of the mouth-breathers who juice his ratings, then you're part of the problem.

Put it this way: who is the bigger idiot, the idiot yelling on the street corner or the person who lends him an ear?

He is a HUGE Bammer, the ring leader.. He knows his role in the process.... Bagman Danny Sheridan is another Bammer Homer and is actually also a Bammer graduate.

How can you not love Finebaum?

He's a transparent troll and he's goo at what he does.

Love Finebaum.

I've listened to Paul since his replay has taken the Freddie Coleman spot. His interviews aren't bad at all. The call-in portion ...well if you remember his target audience and don't take it serious, it can be kind of humorous.

He's not as bad as I thought he'd be...imo.

Every Bama fan I know calls him and Auburn homer and every Auburn fan I know calls him a Bama homer.

I'd say he's decent at trolling.

I think the thing about Finebaum that vastly undercuts his legitimacy is that he doesn't know shite about football, be it schematics, philosphy, or college football history outside of Alabama and Auburn.

Yeah, yeah and he still loves Gene Bartow and Dana Kirk ... but so why did he attend UT?

Nah, it's got more to do with something traumatic that happened to Finebaum while at UT from what I've heard. Something that happened to him and a girlfriend or something ... something very very embarrassing.

It's a shame no one seems to remember or be aware that he's been doing a show since before Nick Saban was hired.
