I wonder if he hinted at one last year after we lost to OM and then won the SEC and got a playoff birth?

I admit that many people want y'all to decline so badly that this type of bull shite is designed merely to attract readers. hey, I want y'all to decline just as much as the next guy but I don't fall for this crap.

one day, Saban will burn out or die. that is a fact. it also is a fact that people starting forecasting it after a loss or near loss.

I wouldn't say people are overreacting when it comes to this topic.

Bama had one of those runs that lives on forever in the history of college football as one of the best ever. It goes up with the days of Oklahoma dynasties, Nebraska dynasties, Miami Dynasties, Florida State's amazing 14 year run, and others.

All of those dynasty runs came to an end. They never go on forever.

Alabama has recruited at a level that has never before been seen. Most talented rosters ever. We will not see that level of recruiting ever again in our lifetime.

Bama use to outright dominate games. Now they are getting beat around the edges annually for three years now, secondary isn't dominating anymore, QB play is not good, teams turn the ball over a lot more now than they did the past, they don't force as many turnover, and much more.

It is ok to say, "hey, maybe things are starting to show some weaknesses and I realize it can't last forever." Just cherish it.

I could swear I remember alabama winning the SEC last year and making the first playoff.

I agree things are off. The OL is not what it used to be more than anything. Hell Saban won a BCSC with Greg McElroy at QB. We just don't have the OL to grind on teams right now.

Now the defense I cant explain.

We are going to hear all about the demise of the SEC from pundits and hacks. They smell blood and the sharks circle. The truth is that there are other teams in the SEC not named Bama.

Correct. Not many teams can dominate the SEC. It makes for great football.

Put any top SEC team in another conference and they'd do fine each year. Swap LSU for Ohio State and see which team dominates their conference.

I think you're wrong. Agree to disagree?

It could all end tomorrow and it wouldn't matter. Saban retires, all of our top recruits transfer, BDS could fall to the ground and it still will not change the University of Mississippi's past, present, or future.

You''ll always be the little kid on the playground being held down on the ground. When you manage to squirm free every 50 years or so, your crumbs of glory will be and have been short lived. Before you know it you'll be back to your historic irrelevancy. My advice to you, would be to win with class. Which you are not capable of. The ball is on your court to show us how good you really are. Win it all. Taste some real glory. Man up and declare it. Don't be a pussy about it. Tells us you're going to win it all and back it up.

You have lost 2 years in a row. If yall would stop beating yourselves and your wives, yall would go undefeated

And got beat by a team with less talent in the play offs. Like the year before when Oklahoma took Bama to the woodshed.

It would be different if Bama had some failures in recruiting or in the coaching staff but we are talking bout consecutive #1 or #2 classes in a row for many many years. Pick who you want from the bunch, everyone else gets the leftovers

More 5* players on the bench than on any other team in the nation.

If you are going to have the best roster every single year, your expectations should be more than making it to the show.

Anything else should be considered a failure

You literally just described LSU circa 2007. Whiny fans? Could you not be able to look in the mirror any more? Bama will be fine. There's a reason they are the premier program of all time.

I was about to politely suggest that you and your fellow Ole Miss fans here act like you've been there before but then I remembered that if you're under the age of 55 you never have.

It is. Maybe Auburn should have the same standard. Not just beating Alabama every now and then.

"Just wait until you see...."

You act like Bama fans over the age of 25 didn't just recently experience the worst 10 year run in Alabama's history from 1997 to 2006. Back then some of you acted like that would always be our lot as a program. It was as if the prior 40 years of dominating the league was somehow a fluke and that we were "delusional" and had "unrealistic expectations" for expecting more than a 26-23 record over a 4 year period under Shula. Now that Saban might (gasp) lose 2 or 3 games the game has passed him by. Funny how Les, Gus, or Richt can lose 4 or 5 games in a year and Brandos of the world don't suggest it's time for them to retire.

Nick Saban looks like he spends every night losing blood to the mutant "The Hills Have Eyes" fanbase he's chosen to live with.

He was straight up aphasic last night at his presser.

Either that or was plugging the Tibetian Monks next release:

"Uuuuuuuummmmmmmmm...60 minutes...uuuuuummmmmmm...the process..."

Truth is, Bammers love Saban and it is NOT reciprocated.

Never was.

Never will be.

Yall are just a meal ticket to him, till he can split and live full time/ retire to his favorite abode...isn't it out in Georgia? out where Deliverance was filmed?

There's a hint for ya.

Deliverance from TTown. From the whole befrigged state, even.

He's a hired gun, an assassin, paid handsomely to do his thing and yall make statues and shite.
He don't love ya hoes, he's out da doe...

But these last years in incest land have sapped him, mind and spirit- having no emotional investment in your job will tend to do that. He loved the game, maybe still does, but not Bammerland.

Yall have sucked him dry, and what little he has left is squandered on his inept O-coordinator. What a bad idea Lane was...kinda like passing on Drew...OOps...ummmmmm...ummmmmm.

The decline is due, and Noone feels it more than the drooling, wife beating fanbase that knows if Bama isn't winning life becomes unendurable.

Maybe he steps down after this year...soon, if not.
