I agree with everything you say here, Cam came to Auburn and delivered. But do you still not feel a little used, empty or something? He was only there for one semester, taking the minimum hours for eligibility I'm sure.

I loved it.
How can Cam not laugh at these fans? He has invested exactly 2 semester of time at AU, used them like a high school prom date...they STILL worship him.
Cam Newton is a prime example of alot of what is WRONG with athletics...but I never thought I would see win at all costs embraced like we saw this season.

$5 says you would have bitched about Newton either way: Stay or Go. If he had stayed, he'd have been an idiot to pass up the money. If he had gone, then we get what Mitch had to say. It was a no win. Oh..... He USED a school? Really? Isn't that what you're supposed to do?

Not really, no not at all.
You can get an education an opportunity or both.
But to do it in the spirit that Cam has done is way outside the bounds of what should be accepted.

You pay your coach 5 million dollars a year, when he wins one national title you build a statue of him and worship him like a God despite the fact the rest of the country acknowledges him as a completely dishonest a-hole. Imagine what you guys would do if you ever had a player half as good as Cameron Newton? I wonder which poster Mitch Albom is on this board. I'm gonna go with FTBLFN.

If he had come back you would have said a bunch of dumb shite like "he must of gotten a raise" or "Auburn pays better than the NFL". Patrick Peterson, Mark Ingram, Stevan Ridley, Julio etc... they must all be pieces of shite. They all ditched their schools as soon as they were allowed. I guess the only real difference is none of them delivered for their school like Cam did.
