Nashville is one of America’s best cities. Athens and Fayetteville are among the leagues best college towns and I love both. There is a case to be made that they are nearly as good as Oxford.

yes

most big colleges, the downtown area is right next to campus

What are you going to do on campus Tillman? Go to a class? Just crash a freshman English lit class?

my point was about proximity to campus.

you can't enjoy a one mile stroll?

one mile is the new half mile for people who don't consume 4,000 calories a day

Right state but wrong town for worst in SEC. Starkville is definitely the most boring city in conference.

The only thing that makes Oxford half way decent is The Grove on game days. Other than that Oxford sucks arse.

Yeah. Not like multiple national news outlets or publications regularly feature the town as one of the nicest college towns in the country.

The only "outlets" that feature Oxford as great are the "outlets" that Oxford pays to do that.

Such a case can only be made by retards and Ole Miss fans.

You have any proof that I'm not? Didn't think so.

It's definitely style over substance in Oxford. But I know you'll still say it's worth it.

I’m biased, of course, but there isn’t a better one. Fayetville and Athens are the only ones even close.

We have a cool town square, but the mile between it and campus is lined with bars, restaurants, a big performing arts center, year-round live professional theatre, bike trails, cool old houses, and cool new apartment buildings.

A mile in the other direction is a mountaintop overlook and retreat center, and the town has mountain biking (in the city proper), hiking opportunities (in the city) and over 50 miles of paved bike trails in the city limits winding through greenbelt, parkland, and urban sections alike.

Oxford has a nice square, but that's pretty much it.

But Fayetteville is a shithole and people should definitely stop moving here.

Is it because there is nothing else to do?

The person throwing out accusations is the one who has to provide proof. That's how arguments work.

Well, you're accusing me of making shite up, so it's on you. I didn't make an accusation. I stated a fact.

I know for a fact it happens. You do too, apparently, given your need to huff and puff about it on a sports message board.

You didn't state a fact. You stated an opinion. If there was evidence, which there isn't, then it would be a fact. Just saying "it's obvious and everyone knows it happens" doesn't make it a fact.

Wait is this thread still going on?

I guess the insecure Ole Miss fans just don't realize that not everyone loves partying at the Smallest Public School in the SEC in Rural Mississippi.

I'm just looking for facts that the city of Oxford and Ole Miss pay for national publications to consistently say how awesome we are. Apparently it happens but nobody can provide proof.

It's crazy
