Well they have a NET of 8, Kenpom of 9 and were 5-5 in Q1 games.
Gonzaga and Louisville were ridiculously under seeded. Of course it didn’t really work out for Louisville

I thought the scoreboard wasn’t updated when it showed Clemson with 13 points at the end of the half.
This makes tourney great and maddening.
Years ago this is a clear upset pick. Last years MCN team was legit, May still be but metrics not as good. You don’t know how team will respond to WW news.
Then you have classic choke Clemson. BUT great run last year, really quality down the stretch.
You have a McN blowout at half??

Playoffs are bigger so mathematically possible

Apparently the tryouts or whatever were in the middle of the ncaa tournament.
I’m not sure why they don’t just say that.

You gotta be kidding? Who would the 3rd party? LHSAA?
When I was in HS 20+ years ago as a sophomore I got injured early in the year and couldn’t play. Got roped into helping with team and parlayed it with community service thing I had to do. All that stuff was manual and on paper but before stats were finalized, the refs and both teams signed off on it. That was for varsity.
That’s partly why it seems crazy to me, but again, IDK

The only way to “get them “ is to have real proof and call them out by name. Probably won’t do anything but piss people off but if it’s true and enough people believe it.. something could happen
From what I understand they completely botched it and certainly pissed people off, lol

I think the most common way this happens is when a pitcher's dad will mark something as an error when it should be a hit, or a hitter's dad saying a hit when it was obviously an error. Something where there is a judgement call/opinion involved. I don't think you can say a strike out is a single and get away with it
Right. That’s as detailed a question I asked before changing subject. According to them it’s blatant. Like he struck out 3 times and had a hit in stats.

Do they not use GameChanger?
IDK. My kids are not in HS and don’t play baseball anymore. But something like that was used when they were in 4th/5th grade. It was all automated for tournaments. That’s why I find it hard to believe.

Ok. Fair answer. I genuinely don’t know

does it matter? if the kid can play, the kid can play... the cream always rises to the top, so a star hitter, pitcher, or fielder will show out, regardless of what is written on the "stat sheets"
I agree 100% especially in the context I didn’t get into, and told him the same.
At the root my question is about my buddy, who is overall a decent, normal guy I’ve know for years the youth baseball turns him into an irrational psychopath, and the depth of his madness.
I believe he believes this happened. I just seems so unlikely to me.

I don’t think any decent HC is letting last year’s stats sheets dictate who is making what team or who is getting playing time. Phonies will flop and the talent will become apparent pretty quickly.
I agree. And I didn’t even mention how my buddy completely mishandled it and put his kid in a terrible spot like a psycho and at the end of the day basically the gripe is my kid should have suited up and also not played in a couple playoff games.
I just don’t see how it’s possible to fake stuff like that.

Having a discussing with friends and I don’t know enough about it actually works.
He says his kid’s HS JV coach, who also has his kid is on the team, lies for his kid in stat sheet. Like they watch him go 0/4 and then next day it says 1/3. Repeatedly stuff like that. Kid ends up going with varsity for playoffs after JV season ends. Doesn’t play but got “promoted.” They mad. IDK the truth but I believe they believe this happened.
I find it hard believe you could get away with that. Wouldn’t at that level, stats be kept and reported by a third party, even if it’s just a rep of a given school? Wouldn’t it need to add up? Wouldn’t the other pitcher have his own stats and know he gave up 3 hits and not 4?
Just curious

It would help but tons of fans. Hit the ball, pitch well, and catch fly balls to end innings.

Yes, he is.
re: This isn’t on Brown We had plenty of chances
Posted by ChunkyLover54 on 6/3/24 at 8:42 pm
Everyone could have done more at some point. JB missed a catchable ball that would have ended the inning and the game winning run would not have happened in the 10th.

Well, yeah. That will haunt you forever.

Probably not. But THB I thought he’d be replaced after 2 years tops.
