I still can't believe they hired him as permanent head coach.

It really was a rushed move.

Making the guy the interim, thus giving yourself time to evaluate the entire situation would seem the common sense move to me.

Is there any context added in the rest of his comment, or is that literally it?

You know what? Good for Ole Miss.

See where that roody poo rah rah spinner chain shooty hoops dunkaroo bullshite got them? A soft as frick, me first mentality.

"but butty butt butt Ashley they done did made the playoff"

Very true, but Lane ditched them shits because of the me first mentality and so will his players after the season is over.

fricking cheesy celebrations props are junk. frick you if you like it.

Smart to get rid of the basketball goal.

I don't think he was drunk, he's just naturally slow to process thought.

What if Ole Miss wins it all. Will people try to give Lane the credit when a coaching change set it in motion?

Probably just in title only to try and save as many possible transfer portal moveouts as possible.

Are you really crediting this guy for beating tulane? "Winning a playoff game"? He beat a lollipop and he didn't assemble this team, Lane did. To give this guy all the credit is just insane.

I mean their coach and a good bit of staff left them before the playoffs that can affect players mentally. He had to get them prepares, keep them focused and build a game plan so yes he deserves a good bit of credit

God I don't miss him. He refused to make adjustments in 2022 vs the Vols. Detested him ever since.

Yep. The jury is obviously still out on Pete’s head-coaching ability, but the man is clearly a no-bullshite culture-builder.
